Looks like he's heading for a Kevin Garnett type of trajectory which is he'll lead his team to a bunch of first round exits like KG did in Minnesota.
I see two scenarios playing out for the guy who has shown us that PER is an over-rated stat.
1. He becomes a footnote. A perennial all-star and future hall of famer who never gets past the second round ala Yao Ming.
2. He takes a Chris Bosh turn, ditches his first team and become a third spoke on a team that has a good three or four year run and wins a championship or two.
But what won't happen is this guy leading a team as the man to anything. Even apalisoc_9 stopped riding the guy so hard, a year or two ago.

Pau Davis should join the Dubs. Let Steph hold his hand to a playoff win
I think he stays where he is. There's not much pressure on him to win there, because the axe falls on the coaches, not the players.
PER is a very useful Stat if you combine it with Defensive rating tbh
AD biggest problem is that his defense isn't good, people just look at his blocks numbers and think he's eliteAlso he doesn't have many intagibles and is a below average passer
