Legacy-wise, it is just gonna hurt him bit, IMO.

His overall lack of signature playoff moments/series in this Warriors run is also another point of contention when assessing his career.

A couple of great games here and there but not a sustained dominant post-season stretch..

Curry. He’s actually been very good overall in the playoffs but his trashy style of play which taking such poor shots and the turnovers plus being punished on defense means he’s always ripe to fall short here.

    KD saving them again.

His 2017 playoff run was arguably the best you'll ever see from a PG..he was also pretty clearly 2015 Finals MVP, Iguodala got it for being LeBron's direct matchup, though..

It's the equivalent of Danny Green winning had the Spurs won in 2013..

Instead of Kawhi, the offensive beast.

You love saying this but it's not true. Iguodala was more important to his team than Curry was in the 2015 Finals and it's not comparable to Danny Green possibly getting it in 2013. If Curry would have won it in 2015 it would have been like Danny Green winning it in 2013 just for hitting 3s.

Tbh I think this will sow the first seed of discontent in the dynasty. You just know Curry will harbor resentment towards KD from here on out.

Curry was better in 3 of the 4 games imo. But the game 3 disparity was massive

What would curry be without the 3 point shot?

What would Tim Duncan be without the backboard?

Still a great player imo. Great defender. Curry though?

He'd still be one of--if not the--greatest shooters the league has ever seen.

Well, that was a productive argument.

26 PPG, 6.3 APG, 5.2 RPG, 1.8 SPG, 58% TS while getting doubled and trapped all series vs. 16 PPG, 4 APG, 5.8 RPG and 1.3 SPG on 58% TS mostly playing 4 vs. 3 after Curry got trapped..not even close in any way..

We can hope, but a ring is a of a consolation prize. What will create the rift is when players get salty over the notion of taking a pay cut for the team, after they are satisfied with the ring chasing results.

What would Newton have been without science?

Greatness usually has an objective viewpoint. The NBA does have the 3pt shot. It does have the backboard, just like bodybuilding does also focus on legs.

This was the one bright spot of the night, tbh. GSW fans faced with the downside of their team's unholy union with KD: Steph Curry will never be MVP Curry again. And they will low-key resent the snake for it, because at the end of the day, Curry is their guy and they really don't give a about Kevin beyond him being a means to an end. It's sad really, because KD was actually deferring to Curry all game knowing it's what Steph and the fans wanted.

It's not even low-key. Just look at the replies to this tweet:

Warriors fans are too busy being pissed about Curry "getting robbed" of FMVP to even appreciate the championship. They're not really rocking with Durbeta.

True. GSW fans all commenting that they're "lowkey" pissed, but then again, if there was anything low key about it they wouldn't be raging on twitter.
