No he will sit out, and he will sit out once the regular season arrives too.
He will play the opener and a few games after but he'll have a recurring injury and call it after that. He cannot possibly just decide to on his contract, without expecting a lawsuit. The NBAPA should sit him down and talk to him about contracts and precedence.
