Still all we have are anonymous "league sources" saying he wants out. I still think this could all be bull .

I get the jokes but I don't get the hate for Kawhi. The kid has played his ass off since he came into the league, and has shown more improvement than anyone I ever saw. People act like he was a 1st overall prima donna with demands. He's just a quiet kid with insane work ethic and probably a few voices in his ear.
Until there is word that Pop and Kawhi met and discussed the options, I have no reason to think the Spurs are interested in trading him. In fact, since it's doubtful they'd get something equitable, why trade him? I used to think 'because we'd get nothing if he walks,' but I think we're in the same boat either way. Unless we get something really sweet, let him play his ass off and then walk from $219 million if he earns it again.

He just hasn’t managed any of this well. He could be a stand up guy and set the record straight, but instead he lets it go like a soap opera
He reminds me of the politician who grows up on the South side with promises to fix the neighborhood. He bests everybody's expectations moves to the north side and forgets about everyone who helped him get there in the first place.
Except he didn't promise anything. He played well, helped win a championship and make 2 Finals, won a FMVP and 2x DPOY. He's always had a stoic presence, cold almost, like everything around him is bull and he's just thinking about getting away from attention even though his career is in the public eye. Perhaps he thinks the Spurs need to trust him, and maybe they know something we don't. I don't know. He could be gone, but treating him like because of a business decision, even a bad one, doesn't seem like something Spurs fans would normally do. Do you think he's judged more harshly because of his abilities? Would they have said the same about Patty Mills?

I'm almost of the belief that whatever the Spurs get from trading Kawhi will still put us in rebuild mode.
