When they doubled down on Mills and Gasol.
When did the Spurs become the Knicks?
When they doubled down on Mills and Gasol.
When Tim Duncan left.
Actually the Knicks throw money at a discontented star and give him a no trade clause, and then try and trade him the next season. Spurs have a discontented star, and they don't give him a super max deal and they ship him out without asking where he wants to go and get the best deal for him that is available. To me, that's night and day difference from the Knicks.
Spurs may never win a le again and I'm fine with it. Ever since 5 happened I have felt the Spurs have been playing with house money. I'm glad the Spurs didn't do a deal with the Lakers. You may get Kawhi next year but the Spurs managed to waste a year of Lebron's remaining prime by not gifting the Lakers Kawhi.
