12-13 gonna be a breakthrough year for paul george, its a true blunder the spurs didn't ask for paul george when shippin' their George Hill to indiana. George for George would've been a fair deal, paul george plays hardcore D and hits them cheap 3's i think he would've been an excellent bruce bowen successor for them spurs. although leonard is also a decent player, he's nowhere close to george's standard tbh

Paul George is too athletic for the Spurs. He would've ended up riding the pine or in the D-league with Bonner talking all his minutes because he's "in the right spot" on defense.
Georges athleticism would cause him to gamble on D. Pop doesn't like players that gamble. He would rather have a player in the right position, even though said player has no chance of making any kind of defensive play. That doesn't matter because....he listens to Pop.

On a serious note though, while Paul George is skilled, his skills aren't what the Spurs needed at the time. I feel that the Spurs needed pure athleticism while at the same time needed a guy with a high motor and a high ceiling. Not saying that George doesn't have those but Kawhi would've been the better fit with the team because of his style of play.
