Tony is a great player, but that background music sucks.

Interesting that this popular channel made a top 10 for both TP and Manu, but the latter has double the views in the same time span..

We're still acting surprised that wonderbread fans are more enchanted with Ginobili than Parker, tbh?

Not sure why Spur fans are obsessed with giving one guy more credit than the other. Yes, Manu was more talented than Tony (his defense and perimeter shooting was light years ahead) but Tony has had the better NBA career.

Doesn't matter either way cause they both are locks for the HOF and possibly are the greatest backcourt duo (although Curry and Thompson could dethrone them) of all-time.

Tony Parker was the best player in the NBA in 2008-09. When was Manu the best player in the NBA?

parker's best seasons were the 11-12 and 12-13 seasons, during both of those seasons he was top 6 in MVP voting, and there were certainly stretches during those seasons (particularly 11-12) where he was playing like a top 2-3 player in the league. thats when MVParker became a thing.

but 08-09? nah, nowhere near "best player in the nba"

No, he wasn't. LeBron, Kobe, Dirk, Dwyane, etc. were all better than him that season.

That was probably the second best season of his career, though, and he was arguably the best PG in the league.

His best season was 08-09 leading the league in points in the paint. He was unstoppable that year.

And you can find plays there from 40 year old Manu, tbh... Tony retirement at age 33 had more to do with his body breaking down though...

No need to compare TP with Manu. Spurs were unbelievably lucky to find both of them during the time of Duncan, likewise DRob was lucky to be still around. While Duncan anchors both defense and offense, TP dictated the tempo, and Manu kept the opponents on their toes with hard cuts, fearless plays. I personally like Manu the most as he exemplified the true Spurs mantra of playing for the team, selflessness. The guy could’ve more impressive stats but chose to play 6th man. Manu was the heart and soul and beloved by most imo. But boy Parker was some fearless mother. Just see him spinning between trees and his like a buck eighty maybe . There would never be the same even DJ, White and Walker proved to be studs. Those were the Spurs golden years.
