Very few things in this world put a smile on my face like Mike Tyson does. I love Mike with all my heart.

Tyson always struck me as an intelligent individual who just happened to be crazy. Much of what he says, especially in the above, show traces of schizophrenia or schizo-affective disorder. Some of the things he says are extremely lucid. I think he realized at a young age that his life was essentially based on his boxing, and as soon as he started to age, it would go out the window. I don't think he ever had an iden y and it ate him alive.

Very interesting. Could you elaborate more on how his behavior shows this and also the tell-tale signs of Schizophrenia?

The young Sonny Liston was 6-1 215ish and mean. He was one of 24 children***, yep, 24. Not sure what the deal was but he ended up in St. Louis with his mom, the rest with dad in Arkansas.

He learned to box in prison, two years for armed robbery. A 1953 Golden Gloves Champ.

    Anyway....

His record is 50-4-0, 39 KO's. If anyone could have stood up to Iron Mike it would have been the young Sonny Liston, he was a very bad man. Known for having huge fists.

Iron Mike would right thru Marciano and any of those way back when guys. I di see Cassuis Clay (young Ali) giving him a boxing lesson however. Simply too fast on foot, hands and a superior boxer. No way he would ever actually fight Tyson, just out class him.

The Olympic George Foreman another guy who could have stood toe to toe.

Foreman a street bully in Hoston, would walk up to grown men (16-17ish) and demand money, if not he'd kick their ass. Or so the story goes.

*** mom had a bunch of kids, she married a guy with a bunch of kids.

Anyone into boxing needs....The Boxing Register....McBooks Press. It's all there.
