What are your favorite and least favorite comic book films, and why? Can you rank your top ten favorites and the ten you feel are the worst?

    Can we really call...

    Hercules
    Conan
    Thor
....comic book heros? They were around long before comic books.

    I don't care for...

    Superman
    Batman
    Spiderman
    Daredevil
    The Fantastic Four
    Black Panther

Do like The Hulk movies and all The Avengers and Ironman flicks.

Obviously it's all like the rasslin', just some escapism for a couple hours. A cheap thrill.

    I keep saying this....

Michael Moor s Elric of Melnibone and his runeblade Stormbringer a MUST for todays Hollywood. No not a comic book, but has been one. It's a series of novels.

Some of the most amazing stories ever read in heroic fantasy.

And there are some other literary heroes that would make great movies.

    Thongor
    Kane
    Brak the Barbarian
    Fafard and the Grey Mouser
    Kothar
    Kyrik

THANK YOU. It is so fantastic to see someone else saying this. I also think that Elric would do great as a TV series, with each season telling one of the stories. It seems like their length would lend well to that. Honestly, it seems kind of crazy that these haven't been optioned by now for something. Their influence on the genre and on popular culture has been enormous. But I think a lot of people still aren't aware of them despite their impact.

I rarely find anyone who is aware of Elric and those amazing stories. Yes, a TV series would be great as would the movie.

A world of the fantastic which was actually unique and distinctive too--well, worlds of the fantastic, to be precise. I love the whole concept of the Eternal Champion. And the metaphysics/philosophy aspect of the balance between Law and Chaos--just awesome.

    Wow~~~~

What a step up from the usual...DUH....we find here.

Curious why we haven't seen Hollywood delve into this, it's tailor made for todays silver screen.

As far as I know, Moor is open to the idea, so I don't think that the hold-up is on his end. For a really long time, it seemed like for some reason filmmakers and TV studios seemed strangely oblivious to the idea of adapting books to screen (obviously there have been plenty of books to film, but not nearly as much in decades past as we see now), but since GoT, we're seeing it everywhere. Maybe it's just a matter of time.

I really do doubt it's a matter of the stories just haven't been read by the right people. As you know Elric is far superior anything in the comic book world.

It's crazy though that they haven't been read by the right people. "Multiverse" has become a household word, and so far as I know, he is the one who popularized that word initially. Yet the average person seems totally unaware of his work. And people are hooked on anti-heroes these days--yet they don't know about how Elric shaped that trend as well. It's amazing someone can be so influential, yet so invisible.
