I am originally from San Antonio and saw George Gervin back in the day. I moved to DC as a teenager and would attend Bullets-Spurs games back then. I moved to LA and would go to Spurs games against the Lakers and Clippers. I watched Robinson, Elliot, Johnson, & mings. I am loyal. This team never won the big prize. Never won it all! I get it. We live in a culture where you have to win yesterday. But while I'm in LA, you are in SA and Pop is so dope you don't even know. Front office is what it's always about. Please criticize me if you wish, but you will miss this era & culture for sure! And please re-read TIMVP's breakdowns 'cause it will be quite different when Pop hangs it up.
Pop is great at instilling a system and running a team, but his in game management leaves a lot to be desired, tbh. We've seen pop sink the ship with too many scrubs and washed up players over the years to just sit down and pretend he's some god without flaws.
Yeah PATFO are great, but they have their faults.

Actually most people here agree Pop is the GOAT. But he got his flaws and they deserve to be criticized.

If ST had their way. They would Start walker and Metu. Have DD come off the bench. Fired Pop for Becky. Then trade LMA for anything. Tank for a low pick. Then fire scouting when they realise Walker and Metu are not ready. Then they sell the team to Seattle.
Pop is the only legendary superstar in spurs now, but he can't play on court, and he is old, and he likes short guard, and he loves fat koala.
What the are you talking about? Do you think THIS TEAM has anything to do with Championships? no. This team has two players that were a part of what Tim, Tony, Manu and Kawhi won. Those guys were winners. The winning era was about the the BIG 3. This team is made up of a bunch of chumps collecting checks. Aldridge and Demar are in desperate need of a real star that can take them to the promise land. They don't have it and at this point never will. They are who they are.
