Not to mention he's a good guy in the locker room, fits well with the culture, and has experience with the Spurs system.

This is the definitive article on why the Spurs won't (and shouldn't) bring Boban back. It fairly states that he is the most efficient points per touch player in the modern era, but goes on to explain why he can't get floor time. If there were no roster limits, he could be a great situational player. But there are roster limits, and there is just too much time where he is unplayable. And I like the guy.

Pay close attention to the first video. He makes Olynyk look like an All Star. I know, I know... he was much better when Philly finally gave him minutes. Truth - they gave him about 14 minutes per game, but in the playoffs they dropped him to 9.5 minutes per game. Better teams with better personnel will absolutely feat on him.
