You can't believe ANYTHING that you hear in the media now, especially since it's all CONFLICTING. :p Stations contradict each other, and themselves, even, within a short period of time.

I wouldn't lie about this. It was reported by somebody who sounded like he was a college intern calling from a phone booth somewhere. But they definitely said it. Not saying I believe it. If true, though, it represents Worse Case Scenario.

For what it's worth, WTEM is about a half-milefrom where I work. If the story's wrong I can go egg them.
It's also the home for the Tony Kornheiser Show. That might be reason enough anyway.
If anyone had "agreed" to anything an hour ago, Every media outlet in the country would know about it by now and Ric Bucher would have been live on espnews within minutes. Bogus Report.
The one thing to consider is that a lot of the rumors that reach these media outlets go around the circuit before they hit the airwaves. I will say this...it doesn't jive with what Archie's been hearing.
