I want to go to Winterpark, but everytime I mention it, it's like the worst thing ever. WTF else is there to do that week?
Nearest ski resort: 30 min. drive
Skiing in Slovenia is one of those automatic "must know how" things like swimming or riding a bike. I used to compete in skiing when younger, then I neglected it a bit in the past ten years, but we're picking it up again since it's time for me to teach my daughter.
Yes. My parents live in Orange County and also have a house in Lake Arrowhead.
I go skiing once every 2 or 3 months
but its getting really expensive
but elpimpo and I hit some slopes earlier this month
I'm gonna have to save up some money now
too many narcs
i board, a little.
Gone up the past few years but the slopes in Australia suck and it costs so much.
meh, I'll prolly still go next year some time.
Oh and our season is in the middle of the year...
So thats why your talking about it now![]()
Don't ski Sequ but going to Tahoe in January for snowmobiling. Wanna go?
Snowmobiling is dangerous. yeah, I wanna go....
My aunt hit a tree on a skiing trip when I was around 10 and was in a coma for a month. That cured me of any desire whatsoever to ever go plummeting down a mountain at mach 5 and no brakes. I make bad-assed homemade hot cocoa, though.![]()
Sequ and I could use you with that cocoa(could you add a little hooch?)![]()
I went two years ago and was flying up the mountain at 30 to 40 mph. Notice, I said "up" the mountain. Most fun thing I've done in a long time. January 22nd. Book it!!!!! PM me for details.
smatta Tim? No sense of adventure? I saw a brother on one.![]()
Of course.![]()
I wish somebody would have warned me.
Sincerely,
Sonny Bono
'Twas probably Karl Malone.
Oh, damn....ouch.![]()
Watch out for that tree!
I grew up skiing compe ively in Austria and Switzerland - have only skied twice in the US (Crested Butte and Riodosa) but my uncle just bought a condo in Steamboat, so hopefully I'll start going a lot soon.
Love, love, love skiing. You paying? King, my first skiing experience was at Crested Butte. I sucked, so I loved the Houston run. The second or third trip down I crashed and burned. It was so bad that a group of what appeared to be professionals raced down to me to help me out. They were so confused that I was laughing my ass off, legs going every which way, skis popped off, covered in snow upside down, and facing downhill. Fun times!
