Notre Dame is always overrated because they cultivate a large fanbase nationwide and the media outlets pander to them for ratings/approval. But a good job on their part from a marketing standpoint.
I dont think so..., but i wanna see other people's comments. and if they are overated... why?

Notre Dame is the most super awesomest ever most networks have deals with conferences but NBC has a deal with Notre Dame just all by themselves
I think I may become Catholic just because of Notre Dame it is that powerful and I think the vatican should beatify Charlie Weis whenever he dies

I have a friend at Notre Dame for grad school. That's about her sarcastic at ude as well.
yes they are
that doesnt mean theyre bad, theyre like The Doors of college football
Notre Dame is not overrated this year. For the definition of overrated see University of Texas.
yeah especially right now
Ohio St. and Notre Dame and Oregon should be ahead of them
tlong will have to work off the stress of UT being so good by playing a nice relaxing game of golf
Yes. All the "human" polls have them around #6. All the computer polls have them a lot further down the list. NBC contract? Hmmmm. Loss to unranked Michigan St. at HOME. Hmmmm. #15 at best.Is Notre Dame Overrated?
Computers do not see the face of GOD in the Golden Dome Jesus and his angels lift Notre Dame to victory
They Should Be #1 Because They Represent The Number One Church In The World
TOUCHDOWN JESUS
Don't mock the Fighting Irish or my 31.25% Irish ass will get drunk and fight you!!!!
Don't forget to turn your palms towards your face when you make your fists and hold them over your head.Don't mock the Fighting Irish or my 31.25% Irish ass will get drunk and fight you!!!!
LOL! Agreed!
BTW, guess God had a grudge against ND on USC's 4th-down pass reception that kept their drive alive.![]()
OMG!!!
I just pulled a month-old sandwich out of the fridge and the mold pattern looked just like BRADY QUINN!!!!
It's a sign! It's a miracle! Dios mio!
Enough said.
Well, they did push the #1 team in the land to the edge...
So did A&M a few years ago with #1 OU... look what that got them.![]()
If there were as many sheep- ers in America as there are Catholics, then A&M would get overhyped too.
There aren't?
You're thinking of Australia.

There was an Aggie who was showing his Teasip friend where he grew up. Suddenly, the Aggie spotted a ewe standing with her rear end close to the fence, so he ran over to her, dropped his pants, and started doing his thing.
When he was done, he said to his friend, "This is great! You gotta try this!"
So the Teasip climbed over the fence, dropped his pants, and bent over.
Possibly. But we have no Catholics.
More probably, you are thinking of our anti-nuclear friends to the east.
If the computer polls are so great and the human polls suck, then why do people talk so much about the BCS. Harris and USA Today Poll seems legit, As well as the AP, but the computer polls are the ones that suck my friend. The whole argument about the BCS are the stupid ass computer polls.
If the computer polls were vastly skewed, I would agree with you, but all of them (except Sagarin's, I think) had ND in the EXACT SAME POSITION at that time. Look, I hate the BCS as much as the next person, and would love the NCAA to adopt a playoff system for Div 1-A, but until then we're stuck with this overly biased crap.
I just hope ND gets in a bowl game with someone like tOSU, so they can get their asses handed to them. Weiss is a good head coach, but a lot of what is driving their ratings are (1) a good showing vs. USC, and (2) media bias. They're a good team, but not worthy of such a high rating, IMHO.
Mi amigo.
