Let’s hope the guys come out focused and don’t lay an egg here. This is a must win. Some interesting info on the NBA.com power rankings:

The Spurs haven’t seen a big jump in 3-point rate with the departure of DeMar DeRozan, but that doesn’t mean that their offense hasn’t changed quite a bit. They rank fourth in ball movement (356 passes per 24 minutes of possession) and first in player movement (12.4 miles traveled per 24 minutes of possession) after ranking 29th and 16th last season. They assisted on 28 of their 39 field goals in Milwaukee on Saturday, though the two game-sealing buckets came with Dejounte Murray driving past Giannis Antetokounmpo and then draining a pull-up 3 over the Finals MVP.Murray struggled with his shot through the Spurs’ first four games, but is 19-for-34 over the last two. He’s one of two players — Russell Westbrook is the other — averaging at least 15 points, eight rebounds and eight assists, also ranking fifth with 4.3 deflections per game. Unfortunately, he can’t play 48 minutes. The Spurs loss in overtime to the Lakers on Tuesday and by five points in Dallas on Thursday, getting outscored by 34 points in the 25:14 that Murray sat. Overall, they’ve been almost 25 points per 100 possessions better with him on the floor (+9.8) than they’ve been with him off the floor (-15.1).

Kelton should stop shooting from long range. It's basically a TO at this point.

No way. Last thing Keldon needs is to get discouraged from his misses and stop trying entirely. You gotta have goldfish memory if you wanna be a good-to-great shooter; they'll go in eventually. Especially in the modern NBA, not shooting 3s is a death sentence tbh

He should play to his strengths and crash the lane. He's not a 3-point shooter.

What the , Walker? Wide open layup and he doesn't even hit rim...then a turnover.

This dude is never going to turn the corner.

No way, why'd you think that? He's not a finished product or close to it, he's like 22yo. While he obviously should do what he does best for the most part, it's perfectly acceptable for him to try out things that aren't yet in his comfort zone. It's called developing your game... Especially in a year where the Spurs aren't expected to be winning anything. And again, especially when we're talking about the single most important aspect of the modern game by a big margin.

It'd serve Keldon so much more to get comfortable shooting 3's than to constantly "crash the lane" that it's not even funny, tbqh.

On a side note, where the is Landale, Pop? We could have some variety at the non-Poeltl minutes the last few games, tbh.

Maybe he's just gearing up for the G-League tbh

May be time to pull the plug on the Eubanks experiment early.

Put in Young, or Jock, or..... it, put in me and I'll at least keep the ball in bounds.

Murray is the best player in the team es.
it's not even close. but a bunch of ppl here were eager to ship his ass out plus two or three other players and draft picks for nephew 2 a few weeks back.

he has something not many do...a desire to be in San Antonio. you just don't ship guys like that out willy nilly.
