The fox/wemby era begins
If Jared McLaughlin doesn’t get the start, then fire Mitch
The fox/wemby era begins
It's a wild time to be a Spurs fan.
Realistic chances of Fox playing this game?
0%
Always takes a day or so to do the physicals before the new guys can play after a trade
Yea I think Fox debuts the game after this.
Thought so. Wanted the Grizzlies curse to end already tbh
Hasn’t it always been?
I don't pay any atention to the Grizzlies. How are they so good with Ja in and out of the lineup so much? I don't know 90% of their guys. Is it coaching or am I underestimating their talent?
JJJ has been awesome. Dominant on both ends of the court. Also, the Grizzlies run an offense unlike any other in the NBA and no one knows how to guard it (yet). Their rookie might be having the best season among the entire class, and every one of their role players has been really productive.
Just in time to lay the hammer on the Hawks
Turning point of the season, tbh.
We need to catch a winstreak on this RRT if we're to make the play-in.
Grizzlies beat the Bucks and will be on a B2B, need to come out strong here.
I expect the morale to be high because noone relevant got traded, even though they're a way better team our guys need to show some compe ive spirit after all the trashtalking Grizzlies did in SA.
After that, it's Hawks/Hornets/Magic/Wizards with middle two being a b2b. We need to get 3-1 from those 4 games before we go to Boston.
wemby still sick or is he good to go
Wemby said allergies have been hitting since he returned from Paris. Hope he's good to go.
Memphis have done a great job with drafting and coaches hiring. I really liked that Spurs signed one of their coaches (Michael Noyes) last summer.
Their record is kinda fools gold. They're running that unique offense basically without pick and roll. Teams in the regular season don't really bother adjusting to it, but, in the playoffs, teams will have a whole gameplan against that. Postseason will decide if that kind of offense is legit or if it is just a gimmick.
Garza is saying because Bulls have 17 players and need to cut, the trade might not get finalized until after Thu. Would be nice to have Fox for Hawks on Wed.
Vassell needs to walk the talk vs the Grizz after what he said last time.
And allergies could be the unexpected adversary for the Spurs that prevent them from keeping Wemby all his career smh
With Fox onboard now, it's WIN time. Let's push for play-in boys, every game is a huge game now.
Would love to see him debut Wednesday but thinking Friday is more likely
‘After’ Thursday? That might be problematic, I think the deadline is Thursday. It would be hilarious if the greatest Spurs trade ever was accidentally undone by missing the deadline. Tell the Bulls to cut two people, it hardly matters even for them which two they cut.![]()
Another reasonable source that I can't find (too lazy to look really) said same- looking to trade two players and if not cutting them.
The deadline is Thursday, but you can go past if league approves and most everything is done other than a few dotting here and there
That means no press conference or public by then either, which I was curious about that. So because of the Bulls, we are going to be short one rotation player and one towel-waiver for the next couple of games?
Also gonna laugh my ass off if Vassell and Sochan have huge games now that they aren't trying to tank their own value
Would there even be a press coference considering the team is on the road or will they wait to get back to SA?
The trade deadline always happens during the Rodeo Road Trip, and in the past Brian has done a press conference back in San Antonio. You might remember the famous incident where Brian got a call and it was showing on his Apple Watch as a call from an agent or something and folks on the internet went wild speculating.
I'd expect a Brian presser back home, and then a Fox and Mitch intro presser on the road at some point.
What kind of sucks is that Fox's first "home" games are in ing Austin.
