I guess we just left him there?
Apparently, they not tanking, and are 11th, and 1 game behind Atlanta.
Spotrac shows Satoransky’s cash remaining amount at 3.5M. FYI if anybody cares.
The team is suddenly lacking a 3rd backup PG at worst and a quality backup PG at best (since Tre is not there yet)
Murray/ Tre
Vassell/ Lonnie/ Primo
Keldon/ Richardson/ Wieskamp/ Langford
McDermott/ KBD/ Cacok
Poeltl/ Collins/ Landale
G - Murray
G - Tre Jones
G/W - Primo
G/W - Josh Richardson
G/W - Lonnie
W - Wieskamp
W - Romeo Langford
W/F - Vassell
F - McDermott
F - Keldon Johnson
F/C - KBD
F/C - Cacok
C - Poeltl
C - Z. Collins
C - Landale
I could see Langford being the next cut.
Wouldn’t be surprised to see the Spurs sign a vet PG in the summer.
Otherwise, expect to see Primo or Lonnie (if he’s still here) develop into that 2/1 role that White had occupied.

Langford is definitely a wild card. I guess he’s on an expiring?
Not if you listen to Sean Elliott![]()
I'm hoping they give Langford a shot.
Can't figure out what's going on with him. He didn't play in Austin's last game but he didn't seem to be on the Spurs roster vs. Washington either.
Not so random. Satoransky was drafted by the Wiz, and this contract the Spurs are buying out is one he originally signed with the Wiz. The poor guy just can’t get away from them.
Langford was an injury scratch for the Wiz game. “Left groin tightness.”
Yeah I think we will see will see Primo with the ball in his hands more. Pop might shoehorn him into that 1 position on offense. We will see.
No way he gets cut. He's got another year.
Primo’s had the ball in his hands when DJ sits in the few games since White was traded.
I think this move was a bit out of left field, and don’t anticipate any more. Both of the guys we got From Boston are NOT on ending contracts, and not buyout candidates.
maybe he wanted out? Who knows, don't care.
Langford is not gonna get cut…..
Depends on the direction the Spurs are taking the rest of the season. Are they pushing for the play-in? The PF is still the glaring hole, but cutting Hernangomez? Are they obliging to Satoransky’s request to play for a more productive role elsewhere? Are they clearing space for a potential sign of an international player unknown to everyone? I hope so.
There are also cuts coming from the buyouts that sign elsewhere. There is a deadline for players who’ve played this year to be waived, signed, and be eligible for post season rosters. The Clippers cut their FRP Mfiondu Kabegele a couple of years ago to sign some relic.
"Whoever loses this game gets Satoransky."
Spurs just cutting dead weight
Jauncho was traded for Sato.
Plus a Jazz SRP, practically Spurs bought a SRP for whatever left after the buyout.
Actually, since they already had a salary obligation for a roster spot, only the difference in salary between JHG and Satoransky, minus the buyout, was the cost of the SRP. Same for the flip of Forbes for JHG.
No, he's got a contract through next season and would be a rfa after that.
