Toy Story
For me it was Laser Blast
The next week it was Grease. We only had one per week.
Toy Story
The Karate Kid
I don't have a clue. I remember watching some of the mid-eighties classics like Goonies and Back to the Future, but I'm sure there were some before that.
Yeah I'm sure we saw that one at the theatre also.
I don't really remember. I saw Return of the Jedi in Frankfurt, but have no recollection of it. I remember more of seeing movies over and over once we got HBO in 1985 when I was 8
Wow I don't remember lol
Maybe some Disney stuff when I was a kid but I'm not sure
I remember very well. We were an old fashioned farm/ranch family and any trip to town was very cool much less going to the theater. The first one which was with the family was The Alamo probably in 1960 or 61 when I was 8 or 9 years old. The first time by myself which was when I was younger than would be allowed today was a few years later maybe mid 60's. The movie was Shane with Alan Ladd. Both great memories.
Yep. I can remember seeing Bambi with some older cousins. After looking at the dates of the re releases, I'm sure it was 1975.
I feel like that wasn't the first movie I'd been to but it's the first I can specifically remember.
Snuck back in and watched it again![]()
Can you still do that these days?
Not sure if it was my first one, but Toy Story is the first one I remember.
I saw this in the theater too
Not sure...I think they watch it pretty close now...but that's how I got to see White Men Can't Jump as a kid![]()
Same here. Just gonna assume it was
the oldest one I remember was batman returns, although im sure I saw others before it, just don't recall
A few years back I recall leaving one show and wondering if we could just ease into another one of the shows. It was just a passing thought but it would be embarrassing for an old guy to be evicted from the theater.
I'm pretty sure most movies have assigned seats now, so probably not.

hmm, dont remember really. My dad was a cinema operator, so i was hanging around the cinema all the time when i was a kid. If i had to guess, id say The Mask or The Flinstones were for sure some of the first I saw.
Same
I was 4. Also remember seeing Jacob’s Ladder a few years later.
Thanks, Dad
Best cinematic experience ever was T2 though. Don’t think that’ll ever be topped
Same age, I may have been 5. I don’t think my dad realized how violent it was going to be. He said I loved every second of it![]()
