Yeah, I think I'm going to check both out. Free Money is always good, but if its only 100 bucks for first place I can probably make that playing online in half the time it'll take me to play the tournamnet. I want live game experience though. Thats the real attraction for me.
Boy, that was a lot of fun. I should have won that tourney if not for the most unfortunate suckout. blinds were up to 200/400 I was up to 4600 in chips (we started with 1000). I'm second in chips at my table and find pocket 10s in Middle Late Position. I raised 1600 total because 1st in chips was in the big blind and I was trying to get called from the small blind short stack.
anyways, after some thought the big blind calls me. Flop come 369 all clubs. BB checks and I raise all-in 3000k! This is about 90% of his stack and he thinks about it for 5 minutes which was fine by me because I was watching the last 2 mins of the spurs game too.
He calls and he has AK NO CLUBS! I'm about an 80% favorite but of course a K came on the turn and no 10 on 5th. What a suckout, but if I win that hand I have almost 10k in chips and playing damn good poker.

He called you on AK after missing the flop when there was a flush on the board? I might have killed him. That sucks ass dude, that really sucks ass. Had you been bluffing or stealing a lot of blinds? I can understand if he put you on a pure bluff, but that board had to be scary as . What a ty call.
he happened to be a both of the tables I had played on and I was dominating both tables, really on my game. I guess he didn't want to be pushed around and it was more of a macho move on his part. I was happy to see his cards and should of taken down that big boy. That's all right, long-term right?

Thats huge long term, especially if you had a club as one of those 10s. Thats the kind of call you want in that situation, but it just happen to screw you there. If you had the 10 of clubs, then he has 4 freaking outs.
Poker is pure luck, hopefullly you don't count on that .
