Frankly that phonecall would land the majority of politicos in jail, tbh... this is probably as good a case as you can possibly have.

The difficult part is not having one dumb trump in the jury.

Agreed. I think the New York stuff especially the Stormy Daniels and other sex related stuff is bull and a chess gambit by certain NY Dems to make a name for themselves, and the federal stuff is sketchy at best. The New York stuff about Trump's sketchy businesses in the past / overreporting his businesses' income and net worth and defrauding Deutsche Bank and other lenders to help make him wealthy is potentially legit, but the statute of limitations probably applies there.

The Georgia case is still raw, young, and the one with the most potential IMO, I'm not a lawyer but I know my and if I'm going after Trump I'm going after him on that. It'd be a big bold move by the GA GOP to go after Trump there, and could salvage GA as a GOP state for any candidate other than Trump long term IMO. Biden's job approval rating in GA is 38% but Trump's Georgia popular favorability rating is 29% last poll I saw.

GA and AZ are ready to be red states post-Trump for sure even after some demographic shifts to the left, but the main caveat is we need to get Trump out of the picture first. No doubt in my mind Desantis would beat Biden/Newsom in both GA and AZ, probably GA by mid to upper single digits and AZ by low to mid single digits. Whereas, Trump would lose both, and by margins bigger than in 2020.

The New York stuff really isn't about Stormy Daniels, but the fact that this guy was the typical sleazy cheap bas that cooked the books so he didn't have to pay it out of his pocket. It's so brazen and cheap, it makes complete sense he would do something like that.

This is how you normally nail people that think they're untouchable. Al Capone comes to mind, tbh... now, that doesn't mean this is a slam dunk case or that he's going to jail though. But you stab in the back enough people, at some point will hit the fan.

They were personal checks, not corporate. That's why they can get him personally on tax evasion if he deducted them as legal expenses.

I think some of them were just “business ledgers.”
so I wonder how he entered them, any description.?
Doesn’t it basically just have to be I really don’t know why am paying this lady, but Michael told me to do so?

    LOL

Try taking $400,000 of fake deductions and try to tell the IRS you didn't know what you were signing.

like Trump. I still think that's probably the un-named "second crime" and not campaign violations. Bragg is letting Republicans make fools of themselves whining about persecuting Trump over "minor record violations" and then he will drop the hammer on state income tax evasion.

    "OK, defend THAT es!

    Yeah I could not remember.
I don’t even know if he owned mar-a-Lago during that time period.

Is that part of the indictment in this trial or would it require a new trial?
It seems like a interesting take.

    This would be so cool.
Trump convicted and Trump holes up in Florida protected by Florida National Guard.
    No extradition here.

And then Trump runs against DeSantis for the red nomination.
It fits perfection of chaos in the red party.
DeSantis loses the nomination, extradites Trump and Florida sends him under wraps to NY where he is jailed as a flight concern.
Then Trump runs for president from jail in NY

The red team is into breaking the norm so let’s do this.

    For SpursForSix:
Trump poops in his jail cell on the floor, scoops it up and swallows it, then vomits the volatile mixture into a Jail guard’s face rendering the jail guard blind. Take it from here…

What did anyone expect from a NY slumlord? He's no president, he's a ing slumlord who attracted enough flies to swing an election. The same flies are addicted to his aroma today.
