Rooting for Derrick. Dejounte has worn me down, his thought process never left elementary school. I wasn't overwhelmed by the return but moving on from him was the right move.

It was a bad fit, because they were never going to get DJ’s previous numbers with him sharing the backcourt with Trae. DJ is also not the best off the ball player.

I wonder if there would be any value in re-acquiring Mills as a sort of veteran presence and locker room presence sorta like Dieng was this season.

after two of the biggest trade heists of recent history this past off season (the murray and gobert trades), i have to wonder whether or not teams will be more conservative when it comes to giving up draft capital. of course, there will always be that one dumb as GM (or two, or three . . . )

I dunno. Phoenix had better win, because they also gave up a truckload for a 34 YO Kevin Durant.

Am not surprised that Derrick White has become an important player for the Celtics - dare I say.. he is the most consistent among the Celtics as well. White is a perfect No 3/ No 4 on a championship team who does several things at an above average level but isn't A+ in any .. maybe in shotblocking as a guard and in taking charges, yes. White was a feel-good story for the Spurs. I liked what White and Poeltl offered the Spurs. They were really good players who would have thrived in the Duncan-Parker-Ginobili era and could have even won a couple of more championships with that core.

The Celtics did great in getting White in a good trade. Here's hoping the Spurs can get more polishing done on Blake Wesley's skills and they land a very high pick in 2028 when the Celtics pick for us.

    2011 1st rounder
    2014 1st rounder
    2016 1st rounder
    2017 1st rounder
    2018 1st rounder
    2018 2nd rounder

Samanic (2019) and Joseph (2011) are also still contributing in the league.
Only bust was Primo but even that had nothing to do with on-court ability

Buford was a wizard that last decade
