The in bent president usually runs again if not term limited and usually doesn't get primaried. No news there.
The GOP letting a criminally indicted guy who tried to steal the election run again is much worse, tbh.
Superdelegates, i.e. non-elected establishment DNC career politics, to determine the primary's presidential candidate is the an hesis of democracy, just as affirmative action is the an hesis of equal opportunity.
Bernie Won, Not Hillary

you tried to overthrow the government
You lost.
OP is so dumb. There's nothing on the US Cons ution on how to run political parties, full stop.
At 2am on a Friday night, OP rushes to his computer to get this epiphany out to the masses of Spurstalk.
He made President, Winester. 1 of only 44 others to do so across 4 centuries. ha, ha.
You tried to overthrow the President as well by threatening to blow up the White House the day he, his wife and their only child moved into the damn thing.
You've nary room, Dumper.
I was at and inside of the capitol building and scotus building on October 14th (2020) - it was just a small group of me and about 6 other dudes and one couple about my age. The flavor of the day was Amy Coney Barrett, and there were a small group of liberal pro-choice protestors with anti-ACB signs, but, otherwise it was fairly dead, and it was a chilly and windy Wednesday at around 1pm-2pm so there were tons of open free parking spaces to the public. Mostly the guide was just a bunch of mundane history lesson stuff about stuff I already knew
I only decided to do that that day because I was tasked with an official in-person work meeting because I was a contractor for one of the (smaller) federal agencies at the time, based in McLean, VA. Had to turn in my work laptop too because for remote workers they were switching to secure Citrix remote desktop access at the time.
so, ergo, I'm an October 14'er, not a January 6'er. Get it right. I was safely in San Antonio on January 6. I was also in San Antonio to watch the inauguration ceremony in its entirety - zero score and two weeks later - on January 20th, while my mom was at school teaching.
Don't label me an insurrectionist.
Yes. All too soon the libs forget about the protests and riots (especially in the big cities, but not necessarily DC) of November-January 2016-17, and the effort to overturn that election (they did manage to get some faithless electors, but most of them voted for third party candidates and random people and not Hillary/Trump) was pretty serious that cycle too. Michigan was not decided until almost Christmas (I believe the AP finally called it for Trump on December 21st, 2016), and the prevailing thought in November was that Hillary was going to win Michigan by a hair after all the Detroit ballots were counted, but it ended up going to Trump by around 10k votes. While that state didn't decide the election, there was a scheme to get the 16 electors to vote Hillary anyway which barely failed due to a few votes short of Democrat support.
There just wasn't a protest at the Capitol that time.
1. Was referring to 2016, and lesser extent 2020, not Biden 2024. Everyone knows Biden is getting the nomination in 2024 unless he croaks or goes brain dead. The big ticket Dem bench heavy hitters like Newsom aren't running. It's a small motley crew right now with the main challengers an independent with a major Democrat family name, a hippie oracle lady, and perhaps a businessman with no experience. It's going to be Biden or the Dems are going to be scrambling at the last minute if something happens to him.
2. Criminally indicted but not convicted, Whine hole. In America, as it was founded, individuals are innocent until proven guilty, not the other way around. This isn't North Korea.
