Supposedly most of the Lakers live by the practice facility in El Segundo which is kind of by LAX so a good ways from any of the fires, though I have read JJ Red 's house was in Palisades.
Any word on the league possibly relocating the games? Not sure if Vegas would be available. I don’t know how many more games they could possibly postpone. On the other hand, I don’t know how many of the players have homes that are at risk.

They relocated a NFL game to Glendale, Arizona. I'm not sure if something like that is possible in this case.
Wonder what they will do because no way should the game pull away city personnel at a time like this. They postponed the Hornets game already.

The Lakers have four straight home games beginning Saturday that run through next Friday, while the Clippers have three straight at Intuit Dome before flying to Portland, Ore. on Thursday, Jan. 16. As of late Wednesday night, the Spurs have been in LA monitoring the situation and preparing to play.
Whether they will or won't remains to be seen. “Obviously our thoughts and prayers are for everybody and everything going on," Spurs acting coach Mitch Johnson said. “It’s a devastating situation. I know our people at the league, city officials and everything are in communication, so I’m sure they’ll tell us something. At this time, our prayers are for all those people out there. That they’re safe.”
I have heard a rumor in which they might have the spurs vs laker games at the Warriors arena the Chase Center since the Warriors are currently playing on the road.
I can't believe our team has been in the area since Wednesday with all this going on. Obvs a massive region with unaffected areas but what a mess and gotta figure Devin would be on Rodeo buying gaudy expensive clothes if there were no disaster.
Seems like a mistake given the air quality must be horrendous. I remember how disgusting it would get from fires in Malibu when I was living near UCLA.
Heck, the air quality on Maui goes to when Kilauea is having a minor eruption 100 miles away. Couldn't even see Molokini from the south shore the other day. I can't imagine how bad it is around LA right now.
Better than him wearing his or Keldon’s clothing line.
The game feels like a scheduled loss, like the Lakers are gonna be super motivated to play to give the city hope, while the Spurs will be more sympathetic to them and let them win more easily.
Already been reported that Red lost his house. No word on Kawhi's but he's in the middle of the firestorm.
Sucks for everybody out there and I hope anyone in the area stays safe and is able to recover. Whatever happens with the game happens.
This is bigger than basketball.
Keep our young GOAT away from this Chernobyl ass air quality and leave it to the pornstars and drug addicts that live in that hole.
You seem like a very normal person
I understand the weight of this situation, but couldn’t this go on for weeks, or even a month? Can they keep postponing games for that long? I think they have to find a way to play these, either in LA or somewhere else.
Seems like a golden opportunity for Adam Silver to give Las Vegas an extended trial run
Looks like Red wants to use the Spurs as a "whipping boy," as a way for LA to find relief and escapism from the fires: Re said that the Lakers getting back on the court, in some small way, can help the L.A. community at large find some normalcy after a acious week.
"We obviously want to give people hope and we want to give, I don't want to say a distraction, maybe an escape," Re said. "We talked about it as a group before practice. It is our responsibility -- everybody in this building -- to lead on this and to help people."
Sounds like it's setting up to be like the first Saints game back in New Orleans after Katrina. The Saints were expected to be terrible that year, and came out and beat the Falcons 23-3, overachieved for the season, made the playoffs to many people's surprise in the conference championship game, and then went back to missing the playoffs the following year.
We better be prepared for the Monday game, which should go ahead according to league sources. Mitch got 5 days of film sessions with these losers.. Might be Spurs last chance get back to .500 and stay in the play-in picture given the murderers' row schedule ahead.

We better light em up, set that city up in flames
My deepest sympathies go out to the Los Angeles area. What a beautiful part of the country with great weather and geography. Love the history and the stars.
Hoping for the best to you and your family in safety and recovery.
Apparently Leonard’s home in the Palisades was okay. Saw a post on tiktok per TMZ. Also house itself didn’t look too special but probably just his game day home.
