OK, we didn't have our best player.
but still, we lost to the worst team in NBA of the moment and almost everybody has an A or a B.
it says a lot of our expectations with this team this season.....

Is Wesley beginning to pass Brahman in the rotation?![]()
Wesley is so fast. Uses it well on defense. Hes way better than Branham, who honestly isnt an NBA player.
And a lot about someone that gave that grades
I assume expectations of some ppl are to be the last in the league.
Such a pro approach
Wesley gonna be a good player if not getting injured again. To get back after MCL tear and looking that good is promising
It Seems Some Here Don’t Know How Grades Work. If Timvp Had To Scale His Rating Per Player Based On The Quality Of The Opponent, That Would Confuse A Load Of Readers. Imagine If We Did Win And The Players Who Did Well In That Game Had C’s At Best Just Because It Was The Worst Team In The League. That Would Be Weird. People Need To Know Better What They’re Complaining About Than Just Being Miserable About They Think Would Be Better But Would Make Zero Sense.
LaMelo has such a hideous looking shoot, still it is so effective. There is hope for Sochan yet!
I do not give a damn about someones grades. It's his. I just laugh at inconsistency.
Level o the opponent matters if you ask me.
I would not give myself an A playing against some kid that has no idea how to play. Level matters.
Sorry dude I'm blocking you until you turn off the caps thing
If You Don’t Care About Someone’s Grades Then You Shouldn’t Care About How He Writes It. It’s Better For Many More Readers The Way It’s Written Than The Way You’re Proposing How It Should Be. It’s As If You Think The Best Teams In The NBA Are Constantly Blowing Out All The Weakest Teams In The NBA, The Reality Is That That Doesn’t Happen Often. If The Nuggets Barely Beat The Pistons, Their Players Shouldnt Be Given F’s Because Of The Gap Between Them.
Anyway, I’m Probably Explaining This To Someone Who Won’t Budge In Their Opinion And Is Just Blowing Smoke Because Of The Current State Of The Spurs.
It’s Cool. Any Day Now Dejounte Will Be Traded To The Spurs And I Will Stop![]()
Always read Tim's Grades. Don't always agree. Such is life.
He is always wrong on Pop tho. Until he gets rid of his battalion of assistants, Pop should never get more than an F-. I mean, he ain't really coaching. If we grade him based on his assistants, we'd have to give him a grade for half the teams in the league![]()
very important L to keep the tank rolling while keeping it close without Wemby. Can't ask for more
Spurs desperately need a consistent 2nd option behind Wemby cuz right now, Vassell ain't it. I feel like he's less consistent than Lonnie and that's pretty bad. Spurs obviously think he'll get there but they've been wrong before. Branham needs to be shot into the sun with his minutes given to Wesley. Dude is looking legit and is finding his spot. His court awareness needs to be a bit better but he's well on his way.
Spurs need an All-Star PG who can get to the rim and shoot 3s. That will open up Vassell's game since he's more of an offball catch and shoot guy.
This. Good L. I kinda want them to beat the Wiz cuz I think Wemby wants it over Bilal but that'd be another good tank L tbh.
After they ship off McD at the trade deadline, Branham can get those 5-10mins in the 2nd half to see if he's hot ().
Otherwise the rotation should be pretty firmly:
Starters: Tre/Devin/Champ/Sochan/Wemby
Bench: Wesley/Cedi/Keldon/Barlow/Collins
-I don't really care about Collins but it's clear he's gonna get his backup C role
-Barlow is quick enough to play the 4 and frankly gives us some much needed size in certain lineups
I'm not convinced Wesley is still a rotation player in the league but he's earned an extra look + Branham is flat out horrible tbh
maliki getting closer and closer to a long term stay in the doghouse.
Since missing the buzzer beater against the Bucks, Tre is 9/19 (47%) from three over 7 games. I don't know if that shot lit a fire under him and it's not on high-volume, but encouraging signs.
Y'all are ing hilarious. Four months ago you wanted to cut Wesley and throw him out of the league. Today you're praising him for the progress he's made while now swearing Branham needs to be cut and thrown from the league.
Y'all a bunch of ing goobers. Four months from now you'll be onto some other short-sighted nonsense. Thanks for entertaining me.
I’m sure it’s hard to grade a horrible stinking pile of garbage. I admire timvp’s efforts.
This Spurs team is like a dumpster full of garbage bags, and to grade it you have to judge which bag stinks more, and which bag stinks less. Ew.
The odd idea, voiced occasionally by some, that all of this is good for the franchise is not correct.
This was a must lose game if we’re being honest. Keep the tank rolling.
I was fairly impressed with Jeremy. You can begin to see "Jeremy the Destroyer" glimpses and seemingly did learn a thing or two about PG skills. Good to see. Also, Wesley is really shining and it's very cool to see he got some national recognition on the TNT games. Really a good time to include him in a package while the stock is high.
my comment wasn't by any mean a dig at Timvp. I appreciate his postgame comments on players (more than the grades, which don't really interest me much).
And i know how they work, i read them for almost 20 years now.
but still, the whole crew having A or B after having lost to maybe the worst team of the league right now is kinda of hard to swallow.
The future is probably bright with Victor, and a low ranking this year again could be a good thing for the next draft and the rebuilding process in the long term. but i still hope that we will be better this season. I wasn't expecting this roster to be so bad honestly.
Glad we've seen some improvements lately though...
