So this very well could go Salaun at 4 and Dilly at 8! I can roll with it.

I think the Clingan stuff is them wanting someone to trade up with the Rockets or perhaps trade back themselves. I wouldn’t mind it. Makes sense if they are out on Castle and want Sheppard. If Rockets trade back it could be for someone coming to get Clingan and Sheppard falls to Spurs. If Sheppard is not there you can definitely trade back a few spots and grab Salaun and another prospect.

Williams and Salaun are their swings. Swinging for a forward is never bad in my book. You can't get them young anywhere else. They can hit open C&S 3 that is a good baseline for a prospect unlike the Ignite guys and Castle.

Just hope we get Knecht with one of the picks. Still high on him as young Bojan.

Sheppard is a major shooting outlier, those have surprise star upside. Carter could be a fake ceiling guy with that athleticism and growth rate. Those two are fine star bets and you would see it pretty early before they get drafted over.

Just cannot see Castle being a rotational player, even if he gets his shot at avg.

Dillingham at 8? You're telling me there's hope?
Drafting him and even getting some more on top by trading down would be amazing.

Feel like I’m beating a dead horse but I just can’t emphasize enough how bad it will be if we get Salaun.

Imagine if Sheppard falls to 4 and we grab Salaun instead

I see it very tough that they would pass on Shepard if he is there at 4, and that includes if they have to choose between him and Castle.

I'd say highly unlikely. Judging by this and other rumbles the FO is indeed valuing positional size over basketball ability.

Sheppard is higher on the board though.

    The objective final board:

    1. Shepperd. No doubt in my mind, trade up for this guy
    2. Risacher. I'd be okay with him instead of Shepperd because I can see his size as a shooter being a legit weapon
    3. Holland. I'm a believer. Bust potential and Givony was pretty hostile about him on Dunc'd On but I'll go with my own verdict
    4..Clingan. Sure?
    5. Dillingham
    6. Cody Williams
    7. Sarr
    8. Carrington
    9. Carter
    10. Topic

And of course Nunez and Mogbo for the second round

I'm way way out on Castle and Buzelis.

Of course the Spurs made a promise to Salaun. He canceled all his remaining workouts after an “ankle injury” he sustained while working out in San Antonio. Right.

As I said the other day, that could be another CIA Pop ploy.
Salaun actually got injured, but now everyone thinks Spurs rate him highly and some team might be dumb enough to bite.
I wouldn't rule out Blazers taking him at #7.

Coming away with 2 guys from the Top 10 sans Cody Williams and Clingan would be a solid draft.

Really hope BWrong doesn’t f it up, most important draft of his career tbh

Regardless of what happens, the Spurs have completely masked their interests. None of these teams are signaling their interests other than 1 and 2, but the Spurs sit on a hinge point and aren't gabbing. They have teams, if these reports are true, thinking about jumping ahead of them to get Cody Williams, Stephon Castle, and I think even Matas Buzelis.

It’s here, it’s here. It’s finally here es!

Any of Castle, Reed, (Sarr if available), combined with any of Salaun, Williams, Dilly would be great.

Carter is okay, Knecht is meh but I get it. Oh and Topic is worth waiting for if the Spurs think he’s the future.

Lots of possibilities but if Sheppard is there I think they take him and Salaun is the promise at 8. If they take Castle then they may go with someone like Devin Carter instead at 8. Doubt they go Salaun/Williams or Sheppard/Carter but more complimentary combos.

    This Salaun is depressing

Now i hope the rumors of shopping #8 are true. Move down and take Dillingham/Bub if we aren’t getting Sheppard at 4

Salaun at 4 would be disgusting tbh. Just as bad if not worse than the Primo reach imo. I'll never forgive PATFO if they pull that nonsense.

What makes you dislike Cody Williams tbh? Just curious. I have other guys ahead of him on my wishlist at 8 but he's definitely grown on me a bit.
