Hoping for Furphy or Filipowski myself tbh.
Spurs have picks 35 and 48 tomorrow.
Who are some of the guys that are leftover that might make sense at either of those picks?
There are a lot of players that I've heard mentioned on these boards by various posters. Some of the best available guys include:
- Johnny Furphy
- Kyle Filipkowski
- Adem Bona
- Tyler Smith
- Tyler Kolek
- Bobi Klintman
- Kevin McCullar
- Jamal Shead
- Melvin Ajinca
Who are you hoping we grab at 35? 48?
This of course assumes we don't trade either of these picks for a 2079 Top 66 protected (projecting for league expansion) 2nd rounder.
Hoping for Furphy or Filipowski myself tbh.
Bucks took my favorite second round sleeper already in AJ Johnson. However, I do still like Ajay Mitc at either spot. Plus a lot of names you already mentioned I'd be happy with.
Im not even watching
this spurs front office has zero intentions of finding and drafting talent
they are now in the business of gathering future picks which they can then trade for more future picks and never actually winning les again
What difference does it make? They’ll just trade or sell the picks.
Totally expect them to dump the 35th pick. Both picks.
That said... I expected them to take two rookies this year.
Furphy and Filipowski really should have been 1st round picks in this draft. Tyler Smith, too. I expect them to get snapped up very quickly, and before us.
AJ Mitc
Tyler Kolek
Nikola Djurisic
Pelle Larson
Cam Spencer is a favorite late draft or undrafted player.
The "we're building threw the draft" crew will trade the pics for more pics and cash consideration.
Good list, I'd avoid Shead and McCullar, and add Ajay Mitc , Cam Christie, Antonio Reeves and KJ Simpson.
Whoever the best shooter is left. Is that Furphy, Cam Christie, Cam Spencer (UConn guy too) or Tyler Kolek?
I think that 48th pick is a perfect place to find a good 2-way player.
But yes, I agree that the 35th probably gets traded. We traded the 33rd pick last year (to Minnesota, again) but eventually took Cissoko 48th. And the year before that they drafted Kennedy Chandler at 38th only to trade him the next day.
Yep, good additions. Wasn't intended to be comprehensive, but mostly a starting point.
I've also heard Jaylen Wells and Juan Nunez as names worth watching. Also Nikola Djurisic (Topic's former teammate).
If they boot 35 with Furphy there I may be even more steamed than about the 8, so... looking forward to it. But I think Toronto snaps him up.
this front office will screw it up again. No faith.
I really wanted Pacome Dadiet, oh well. But honestly, what is the cost to move up from 35 to 31? 2 SRP the likes of which the Spurs have a couple dozen? No reason not to be aggressive if they like someone. Even conteders go hard after prospects they like, yet a bottom of the barrell team trades back to pick up late 2nd rounders. I would hope the Spurs feel better about a couple of these guys, given the current state of the roster.
No faith. Blowing the Dilly trade is criminal.
could see juan nunez getting drafted by us.
It really doesn't seem they will be aggressive with picks. I feel like they're the guys at the end of Trading Places waiting for the crop report to come in. Frozen ing orange juice.
I hope the NBA adds a 3rd round to the draft so the spurs can trade all these 2nd rnd picks for 3rds! Austin spurs will be a Dynasty! lol
There’s no point, there’s no room on this roster. Better to trade these picks to needy teams that actually have room on their rosters like the Wolves and Okc!
How about Bronny James? Could probably trade him for Knecht.
Toronto
Utah
Milwaukee
Portland
San Antonio
Those are the teams at the start of the Second. I feel like Toronto has a brain meld with us and Utah will always do stuff to over teams.
Pick 35: Cash
Pick 48: Considerations
Christie, Furphy, Tyler Smith and Chomche
35 sold by the clowns for Cash and a future second
48 on some scrub
