Spurs are well-rested and have every reason to want a win. Let's sweeten this pick.

Biggest game of the season is coming up.
Lose this one and SpursTalk enters full doomer, fire up the tank mode.
Win and we're back above .500 with Hawks losing obviously being really important for the draft.
Spurs injury report:
Tre and Keldon are probable.
Collins is questionable and better remain out if we're to win this game.
Hawks injury report:
Trae is probable.
Okongwu is out.
Bufkin is out for the season.
Hawks are your usual treadmill team right now. Heliocentric system around their fake star and when they get it going they can beat anyone.
Dead last in the league in 3pt defense, opponents are shooting a staggering 41% against them.
They're also 23rd/24th in 3pt makes/percentage.
Average defensive rebounding with Capela doing his thing on the offensive glass.
Second in the league in steals and this is my biggest worry since Spurs often have those awful quarters with lots of turnovers.
Third in FTA because of Trae, this is actually the game for Wesley. One of Castle/Wesley should always be on Trae and we can just hope the refs don't gift him free throws.
We can get a lot of momentum if we win this game with Portland at home coming up before the holidays road trip starts.
Spurs are well-rested and have every reason to want a win. Let's sweeten this pick.

Will be interesting to see them for a full game. I can see them building around Jalen Johnson and Dyson Daniels and then try to pump and dump Trae if he shows he can be more offball than in years past, which I've heard is the case this year.
Let's go!!!
He’s shooting .315 from 3, but he’s still putting up over 8 a game. Don’t believe everything you hear.
Should be a good game. Go Spurs!![]()
These are the things that stood out to me. Okongwu out is huge, and should play a big factor in the point on rebounding. With Bassey taking Collins minutes and Sochan back, we should be able to dominate the glass in this one.
These 3PT stats concern me, because this has a recipe for the Spurs going 4/35 from 3 while the Hawks put up their season best while we leave their shooters wide open. This has "who the is Garrison Matthews and why did he go for 24 pts" written all over it.
GSG!
You should post this to the Atlanta Hawks Pick Watch thread, tbh.
They've been mourning the "basically guaranteed #30 picks" for some weeks now.
Also, appreciate LeBowen thinking of us Hawaii residents who need to plan out their afternoons. Mahalo nui loa!
Hard to tell which Spurs team shows up today, tbh.
Spurs are better manned, playing at home and well rested. I’m gonna be pretty disappointed if we don’t see the A game.
Must win for obvious reasons. Hope our team doesn‘t lay an egg here. Would be nice to win a game without having to come back from being down 20
Get ready for a 16 point first quarter![]()
Keldon hopes he'll play tonight.
Biggest game we've played in a couple years, tbh.
If true, that would be truly depressing.
I'm sure a couple of those tank-offs to secure top3 odds in Wemby draft were more important.![]()
so did Vassell and Castle when they wanted to play, but were forced to sit out.
imo the last NBA Cup game against Phoenix was bigger, cause the Spurs could have made the bracket if they won.
I like Castle to shut-down Trae like how he slowed down Curry the last game. Another great defensive showing will help to his ROTY campaign. Let’s go Spurs. Let’s get these overachieving Hawks back to reality. GSG!![]()
The Spurs this year are a 50-50 team, and not talking about the standings. Literally, you don't know which version of the team will show upStill way better than last year but damn
