If the Chicago pick is in the top 10 they keep it this year.
Whats crazy is if you look at standings with Atlanta Jalen injury they can easily fall to pick 9. We tank to pick 8 not far from it now. Bulls pick as of now conveys to us at 11. We could have 8,9, and 11 at a minimum. 3 lottery picks. What are the percentages then for a top 3 pick ? or more than one top 3 pick ?

I know. But as of now it has a chance to convey to us at 11. They are 10th seed in east now making play in.

Yes it did . Its a new idea.
Nice. I wonder how many 2047 first round picks that would get us.
Imagine what we could do with some more Sochans, Vassells and Primos!
or Harper and or Flagg. But but but the math is against us lol
Let's trade everything for Mo Williams though.
I just want a chance to get a top 5 pick so having two chances to get another gift from lottery would be crazy. We desperately need more talent so with this draft and hopefully being active in free agency after this season would be a huge step in the right direction
I’m in.
Wemby
Flagg (Pick 1)
3 and D wing through trade
Castle
Harper (Pick 2)
we have outside shot at three chances. As the standings are now we arent to far away from it. Us tanking is the best option- will push hawks down and bulls down by default.
Not quite sure on the math here for that 11th pick? Our record and ATL's record are better than Chicago. So how does the Bulls pick convey to us at 11???
As far as I'm concerned and how I understand it, all the non playoff teams are ranked from best to worst.
14. Phoenix
13. Sacramento
12. Golden Stare
11. Atlanta
10. San Antonio
9. Chicago
As things stand today we would have the 10th and 11th pick and Chicago's pick is likely to be delayed to 2026 barring some super lucky odds of 2 teams above Chicago leapfrogging them in the lottery rankings giving us the 11th pick...
This is assuming the 7-8 seeds make the playoffs obviously after beating the 9-10 seeds in the play in. Am I missing something here?
In the example Chicago fell two spots from 9 to 11 after the lottery so then it conveyed at 11.
What example are you or the original poster referring to? He mentions that "as of now the pick conveys to us at 11" which is simply not the case I believe. Odds are extremely high it stays with Chicago as things stand. We need a miracle to get this pick in 2025 if things stay the same at end of season.
The example in 6 posts above. As of now it is not at 11 but it can go to 11 after the draft lottery.
Currently, both the Spurs and ATL picks (10 and 11) have to get into the top 4 for the CHI pick to drop two spots from 9 to 11. But, all the way down to Portland at the #7 lotto seed, only 2 games or wins separate the teams. SA vs ATL spot does not matter, we are still worse than them but their recent losing streak has then gaining and right next to us.
I think there is also something about any play in teams, can possibly play themselves out of the lottery or drop back in depending on how bad they do there. Really I am just paying attention to the CHI, Spurs, ATL position. It would be helpful to drop below (worse record) that the Bulls, for sure, for our chances to get their 11 pick this year. Which we may not really even want, this year.
So long story short, we want us and ATL to do as bad as possible, which I think everyone already knew. What some may not yet be realizing is that we have a very realistic shot to drop to the 7th worst team, catching POR and PHI. The latter is surging, while the Spurs are facing the rodeo trip in Feb which is likely to put the nails in our coffin, record-wise and play-in wise. Plus we still have to make up that game at LAL, yet another probable loss. 32-50 or so is a pretty decent projection on where we end up this season.
