This is A+ trade

Better than I could have hoped, tbh![]()
This is A+ trade
Got Fox and timvp resurrection in the same trade?
A+
Occasional poster timvp with the thread
THe spurs got first player that can create for himself. I'd say it's a good trade. Still Spurs are very small and playing CP, Castle and Fox in the same lineup...
TimVP is alive?![]()
I'd say A+ too
"But, again, the Spurs were able to pull off the trade without giving away any of their young, up-and-coming players" Lul like it's a positive... Aside from Castle they're not worth much is all.
Damn good trade...Now hope we can bring in a back up big man.
Nice addition. An all-star. But I still think we need a HOF for the PG position. Fox is a kind of Tony Parker, fast, good at mid-range and penetration, bad at three points, which is crucial in modern BB, especially in a team lacking efficiency in this area. I even think he's less serious in defense than #9 (even if his interceptions will generate easy points on the counter-attack).
This would be an important contribution coming off the bench in a top team (which the Spurs are not yet).
In the short term, this is quite unexpected, in the medium and long term, we will have to see if Castle will have the stature to be this HOF in the PG position.
Perhaps the most important point is that he wanted to come to San Antonio, but unlike others, in addition to wanting to play with Victor, he has personal reasons for it, which could limit the risks to see him whining in the long term future to demand roster status or a prohibitive contract.
(Very sad for our Spanish-speaking French. He's still very young. Hope he'll find his 3%)
If we consider the historical lack of attractiveness of Spurs on the FA market and the reluctance to trade, this remains, despite my reservations on the player for the long term, an exceptional addition and an unexpected opportunity (even for Collins salary...). Good job.
Grade: Aa-ron-age just beginning.
Over the past 2.5 seasons Fox is shooting just 1% worse from 3pt on identical volume as Devin Booker.
For it is written "and on the third trade he will come again in glory to judge the deal"
What blows my mind is how we got Fox without giving up key players AND still have two 2025 FRPs for the Cooper Flagg sweepstakes.
Seeing both of those around 10th worst right now with ATL plummeting makes me surprised other teams in the deal somehow lacked the leverage to pry one or both 2025 FRPs away from SA at the very least
This trade is a clear A+ to me.
That one missing peice now is a reboundibg big man that can score. When Wemby is on the bench there’s no defense or rebounding. We’ll have two draft picks this year to fix that if not through a trade
Would this be the biggest named allstar player traded to the Spurs since the Spurs traded for Terry mings?
Other then some free agent signings I honestly can't think of anyone else.
Welcome back Timvp! I’ll give A++ for not losing any key players and key picks.
But are we done yet? Keldon plus picks for Myles Turner maybe? Who’s next?
Elliott for Rodman
Spurstalk manifested this trade into reality!
I have to be honest and say that I have no idea who this Fox guy is. I have not been following the league since The Big 3 left. I hope it’s good. Was a Castle involved in the trade

He's a left-handed, taller Tony Parker.
Everyone relevant is still on the roster.
