Mo Bamba's last NBA chance before he'd need to learn chinese.

    Could be his thread name.

Reports that Ben Simmons might hit the buyout market, but that he may likely be headed to CLE. Would be wild if he finally ended up here on a buyout when a lot of people here wanted to trade DJM + picks for him

    Per Hollinger -

The Thunder have waived Daniel Theis, per team release, opening a roster spot that might be used to promote 2-way rookie Ajay Mitc . Theis can be signed by any team other than New Orleans and likely will have suitors in the buyout market.
There's another option, just in case.

We need to get someone, it shouldn't be that hard to get an experienced big...right?
Is Gorgui still on the coaching staff? He can suit up, tbh.

If we don't make the play-in, lack of an actual backup big will be the main reason.

I know Thies isn’t bad, but man, he looks like a Prison extra from American History X.

Just hard to imagine we don’t do anything at the center position. I like Bassey but he’s not exactly the most reliable guy from an availability standpoint ( , it doesn’t seem super serious but he’s dealing with a knee injury as we speak). I also like Mamu but he doesn’t bring a whole lot defensively.

We’re already shaky even with Wemby available. God forbid Wemby misses any real amount of time…things get could ugly quick.

Yeah, even if it's just another Bassey-like character (2-way guy let go from another team), we need another body. It's roster malpractice to have your only backup C be a guy with multiple season-ending knee injuries (and isn't really that good to begin with)

I would also think the Spurs will take a flyer on someone like Henry Ellenson of the Wisconsin Herd in the G-League on a 10-day contract. Dude has been balling in the G-league. More of an offensive threat than a defensive one. But a tall and warm body that the Spurs can use to spare some minutes for Wemby and insurance for Sochan at C.

Potential buyout candidates with salaries above the $12.8 million mid-level:

    Malcolm Brogdon
    Bruce Brown
    Ben Simmons
    Bojan Bogdanovic

The Celtics, Nuggets, Lakers, Bucks, Wolves, Knicks, and Suns wouldn't be able to sign these players since they're above the first apron.

This is my pick if he gets bought out. Question is does he want to come here or go somewhere that he knows he can start?

Reddish is awful. There’s a reason he’s bounced around so much. I remember during his draft run up that he was selected one of the most likely to bust in his class.

No thanks on Ben Simmons. How many examples do we need from that kid to know he's not it?

I don't need any more... I was one of the few on this site saying that DJM was better than Simmons when half this board wanted to trade Dejounte plus picks.

I just think it would be funny.
