The Spurs needed a more versatile player. Adding another non-shooter is unlikely to be the answer, even as a center. I would have been cool with this type of signing on a shorter contract, but 4 years? I don't like it.

Sometimes a slight overpay is the price you have to pay to play in FA. It is what it is. You just hope you don't overpay for trash, and Kornet is not trash.

Honestly, I would have traded for Vucevic's expiring.

I don't hate Kornet the player, I hate the rotation we are left with after this signing, but that can be adressed by moving Keldon. The problem is, I don't see MATFO doing that, at least not for now.
