I installed it a couple of days ago when my pc was messed up hoping it would connect me for the internet. I put it as my default browser since my IE didn't work. Well now that I fixed my pc and its back working. I can't seem to get firefox completely gone.

When I click links in messengers such as Yahoo, MSN or AIM. It will try to connect to firefox which I don't have (well installed it back on) and I want the link to open in IE.

Does anyone know how to make IE my default browser or get Firefox off my default? Thanks.

    In IE:

tools - internet options - programs tab - check "Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser"

    Close and restart IE.

The problem is not with the default browser but in the registry. You need to change the openers for the urls, etc...
You could try yourself by the menu tools -> folder options -> fie types (i'm not sure what says in the english version of windows, i use win2k)
There are some tools to edit the registry too.
