I used to always go downtown, hit up polyesthers or Rive.
Anyone know of anything good going on in SA for NYE from a club/bar standpoint? Usually you can find all kinds of information on the web about miscellaneous happenings but this year, the well is dry.
I'm looking for something with good music, live or DJ, and some decent drink specials. For music, I'm pretty flexible but I prefer salsa and dance (electronica/house/retro) and would steer away from country and reggae. Some hip hop works as long as it's not the only music the venue plays.
NYE is a good time to spend with family and friends but we usually like to party out for midnight and then head home to be with everyone else.
Since it's close to NYE I know most people probably have their plans set and can share info with the Spurstalk community. I'm hoping for suggestions I can scope out tomorrow and make a gameday call on Saturday. Thanks.

User usually buys enough fireworks to blow up Canyon Lake....so we head to the lake house, fire up the grill, and blow stuff up.
The last time I went out for NYE was to Polly Esther's downtown ... it was pretty fun. And that's actually the only club I've heard advertising anything special going on. They have a buffet until 11pm and a free champaign toast at midnight...and various drink specials.
I am always sick on NYE; so we always stay home. (But it's fun anyway) I've been sick for 10-12 years in a row on NYE for some reason. I'm not ill right now, so maybe this year will break the cycle
They are doing fireworks downtown.. some off the tower.
Also seaworld does a nice show.

Besides, get a nice room downtown facing the fireworks, enjoy some champange, let the mood take over and maybe you'll start your family sooner than later.

Zstomp...I be out there with ya Bro! I have seen the fireworks from WESTSIIIIIIIDE and some fireworks downtown in the past. Who knows where I'll be in the county at Midnight....I'll have my own light show along with the sirens. I just ask that you guys be careful NYE, because if you end up in my ambulance and you ask to see my s in the Fire Bikini, you WILL be in need of the Trauma hospital after I get through with ya..
