I doubt that many Americans would be amused if I were David Hicks.

This was the midnight fireworks.
Somehow, I'm glad that I didn't trek into town to join the million that lined the foreshore to watch, because the day was HOT yesterday, and you need to get there around midday to get a decent viewing spot.
But, having seen the spectacular on TV, I would have loved to see it live.
