Whenever I go into a restaurant and don't get very good service, I just ask for a new server.
The Phoenix Suns should get rid of their Sarver.

It's not supposed to look different. It's just a new server.
So is there more capacity? Can we have sigs during big games now or is it just a move cause the other one got old.
Why is it important to have sigs during games?
We turn them off to keep the forum fast when there's over 400 people online.
I didn't mean it like that, I was just using it as an example of a possible upgrade. I couldn't think of another example.

Well it's just a newer server. Servers get outdated after a couple years. So you can either change them out or keep them. We choose change them out rather than have them eventually be problematic.
Normally, after a couple of years, newer technology tends to have improved features for:
1) Performance i.e. Faster processor(s), more memory included in the standard sku, larger capacity disk drive(s), faster drives, faster disk controllers or RAID controllers, more cache on the controllers, etc.
2) Up-time i.e. hot-pluggable (remove and replace during operation) drives, power supplies, fans; plus redundancy, failover, etc.
3) Security - O/S, software, network, etc.
Kori would have to address the specifics, but I would imagine that after two years, at least a couple of these areas were improved with a "new server".
I miss the OLD server...

The old one was a dusty-grey.
It's already proven that it's funky.
