The phone rings. It's my father-in-law.
" o, Jennifer!" (Yeah, it's a phone conversation, but 10 years of marriage and he still doesn't know how to spell my name)
"Hey, Duane! How are you?"
"Fantastic. Well, almost fantastic."
"Uh-oh! What's up?"
"Oh, nothing. I'm just 99% fantastic."
"Oh... Well, that's better than rotten."
"Where's Jim?"
"He's at work. Shall I have him call you when he gets home?"
"No, no, that's okay. Is he drinking plenty of cranberry juice?"
"Uh... no... not that I'm aware of."
"Well, he should be. So should you, you know it?"
"Um..."
"Did you get that package I sent to you?" (Since we have a second child on the way and we live in poverty, my FIL thinks my husband should drop out of grad school--he's getting a masters of accountancy--and get a real job, so he sent us a packet of information on selling pens and cups and with company logos on it).
"Yes, but we haven't looked at it yet. It's in the bill box." (Along with all the other things I don't plan to look at)
"It's in the what?"
"Bill box. The mail comes in... it goes in the bill box until we look at it."
"Oh. Well, we've sold $3000 worth of stuff already. What's 25% of $3000?"
"$750."
"Is that right? Anyway, I'd better go. I just wanted to check in with you."
"Okay, well take it easy. We'll talk t...." He always hangs up before I can say bye.

I was thinking this thread was gonna be about Sequ and/or his booster seat.
I'd suggest sleeping with Duane, he sounds a little stressed.
Well, someone ought to sleep with him, but it won't be me! *shudders at thought*
