A woman has been crowned the World Grilled Cheese Eating Champion after eating 26 sandwiches in 10 minutes.
Sonya Thomas won 8,000 dollars at the compe ion at Planet Hollywood in Times Square, but said she was disappointed in her performance.
According to IOL.com she said: "I could have done better," adding that she was aiming for 30 sandwiches.
She said she heavily soaked her sandwiches in water to make them easier to swallow.
She holds numerous world eating records, including 46 dozen oysters in 10 minutes, 5 kilograms of cheesecake in 9 minutes, 48 chicken tacos in 11 minutes, 37 hot dogs and buns in 12 minutes and 56 hamburgers in 8 minutes.
She trains for the compe ions by drinking large amounts of water to expand her stomach capacity and practices relaxing her throat.
On the eating contest circuit, Thomas is known as the "Black Widow", because she has defeated so many larger men.
She holds numerous world eating records, including 46 dozen oysters in 10 minutes, 5 kilograms of cheesecake in 9 minutes, 48 chicken tacos in 11 minutes, 37 hot dogs and buns in 12 minutes and 56 hamburgers in 8 minutes.

she's been starving for so long that as soon as her body saw those sandwhiches her tummy took control of har arms and mouth and just started shoveling thst in.
later, the rest of the body threw a party and parade for the stomach to thank it for it;s courage and bravery.

No actually the world record holder in the mens is also an asian man who is small. They can expand their stomachs to great capacity. They just don't over indulge all the time like over weight people do. Thats why she stays small.
