Note = even though I report on the Sixers my heart is with the Spurs and at that tough loss the other night, they with a little help from the officials sadly let one slip away.

The officials were irrelevant. The Spurs missed too many free throws, failed to do fundamental things like box out, and were lethargic in overtime. The officials had nothing to do with any of that, and those were the things that cost the Spurs the game.

Even hinting that the officials had a role in the result is weak, IMO.

Most of the blame was the Spurs I agree = weak and pathetic finish to what should have been an easy win. Spurs up 10 in first half and just did not bring it to close the deal several times after that when had 5-6 point leads including the sublime last 20 seconds.

    Most of the blame?

All of the blame. No matter what the officials did, had the Spurs taken care of the things that were within their control, they would have won the game. That's precisely why it's weak to try to blame officiating for losses -- it deflects from the true issues that caused the loss.

    WGAF..........

I think the slam dunk contest was pretty cool, except for the behind the back, between the legs backboard pass over and over and over and over and over and over again.....

    that was some stupid .

But the dunk over Spud sealed it for me.
