God dammit...you just reminded me that I have to take Defensive driving by the 15th of March.
Has anyone tried this? I was looking at some places to go but someone was telling me that you can take the course online. I've never taken defensive driving anywhere so I don't know which is better. I just have to take care of this quick!

I've taken it before online. I need to do it again since I got a ticket over the holidays, but it's pretty easy.Has anyone tried this? they'll ask you easy questions throughout the course just to check that you're at the computer monitor but it's nothing to fret about. And you don't even have to take it all in one day. You can take it over a span of time if you want. It's definately the option I'd choose if I were you.
I've done defensive driving online twice, it's worked out well for me. Just make sure that the judge knows it's online since some of them aren't crazy about it - they'll okay it in most cases, but I'd rather know ahead of time that they will accept it.
Jekka brings up a good point that I hadn't thought of when I did mine. My court (Austin Municipal) had no problems with it, but I used an online service and it worked fine.
I say go for it, just know that if you need your forms quickly, you're going to pay for it with huge shipping charges.

It is accredited and accepted most everywhere in Texas. You can do it in about 8 hours, but you can't do it in less time (required by law to be of certain length). Easy peasy and they can FedEx your certificate overnight. It's boring, but easy to do.
Cool.. I'm going with the online option.
i just like going to the class... it;s fun and you get free pizza.
plus you dont; have to worry about the timing getting screwed up.

It's moderately expensive, extremely easy, but insanely tedious and boring.
I've done it twice, and I still think taking the 1 day class and getting it over with is much better.
