Has anyone seen this guy lately? I watched yesterday's Gonzaga / LMU game, and this guy is insane. He dropped 37 in the second half of the game (44 total). This guy's range is ridiculous, and he was hitting them nothing but net from NBA three-point range whether he was open or whether he had a guy right in his face. Off the dribble, catch and shoot, fadeaway from 25 feet... whatever, this guy looked like Bird did in that game in New Orleans. He's skinny, but his shooting touch is sick and the dude's 6'8". Of those 44 points, only 8 came at the line.

This was his fifth 40-point game this season.

Yeah, Adam Morrison is bad ass. He is my favorite college basketball player, I have liked him for 2 years now.

    Adam Morrison < James Thomas.

Or so Can't Be Faded tells me

In all seriousness though, he reminds me a lot of Larry Bird, and anyone who can drop 37 in a HALF when the other team knows he's going to get the ball every time down is damn good.

The numbers just don't do that game justice. Just like Bird's 60 point game looks a lot more impressive when you watch it than when you look at the boxscore. The stuff this guy was hitting you never see in the college game.

I agree, but he does look alot like Bird when Bird was in College...just has to go up to the next level to get the real comparison STAMP

AHF at least i made you laugh

in all seriousness though....adam morrison is sick but will be abused on defense like a red headed step child (who said that about UT, i forgot, was it you ahf?)

i'd put more stock into LaMarcus succeeding in the NBA over morrison

he's going to get abused on the defensive end, and the guy is a ty rebounder for his size

pure jump shooting will do you well but wont make you a monster in the national basketball association

the guy is a badass, but i think he'll never get out of re s shadow. i think he'll be the runner up for college player of the year honors as well as going 2nd or 3rd in the NBA draft behind re

You don't know about sports outside the Big 12. He has a fine supporting cast, it is just hyped that he is the only talent on the team. They have a high recruit freshman in Pargo, inside muscle with Batista, and a very good point man in Raivio. Morrison is a badass. I'm curious to see how he does in the league.

Hussker, you obviously dont watch colleg basketball.

JP Batista is a solid down low post player and Raivio is a solid point guard.

Everyone said the same thing about Steve Kerr as far as defenses go. The need to be a lock down defender in the NBA with the new zone defenses is highly overrated.

WHo needs to rebound when you're stroking everything from 25 feet?

the zags aren't in the top 10 b/c of one player. Pargo (Janero's cousin, I think) off bench might get a look in the league.

Morrison is sick. Comparing him to Bird is silly. He can do some of the same things like Bird did. Shoot well, rebounds, score, but he doesn't have the dynamic ability that Bird had. He plays in a weak conference and I think his frist NBA season could be a wake up call.

Morrison + 20# = MONSTER in the NBA
Rodney Carney was talking and he said Morrison is stronger than he looks because he had to guard him and also is a lot taller than you think. He would just post Carney up and make the shots. Re isn't tall or strong, just quick.
