All the new hotels, go down to Freemont at least 1 night as well.
What kind of places are you talking about? Sapphires and Spearmint Rhino are fun for the family...
Hey, i'm going to Las Vegas this summer, and I'm wondering what places I should go. I'm planing the trip now, so I kind of have to know what we're going to do. So far all I know is that we're staying in the MGM hotel. Thanks!

The strip is pretty cool.
Seriously, though - don't try to see all the casinos, they all look the same after a while. I agree with going to Freemont at least one night.
Freemont's awesome!
How old are you? That may help us tell you what to do...
I"m 17. But i'm going with my family.
Enjoy your hotel room kid
No kidding. There's almost no point in even going.
Here's a couple ideas ---
The Blue Man Group is usually playing, there's a show at Excalibur that's similar to Medieval Times, the M&M Factory is cool, Circus Circus has a lot of arcade-like games, there's a shark exhibit at Mandalay Bay, check out the fountain show at the Bellagio (at night out front)...
I guess you can just hang out at Circus Circus all day.
Other than that, I don't know what people do in Vegas when they are under 21.
There was a Gameworks next to the MGM on LVB that was awesome.
It isnt like the Gameworks here, this one was like 3 stories tall, it kicked ass, but I dont know if it is still there.
Start working on securing your fake ID now.
And oh yeah... forget what I said about Sapphires and Spearmint Rhino
Will u be 18 by then?
Might get a cool theme park in OR hit up the record stores & see what local rave/circuit party is going on.
Only a couple of 18 & up clubs though.
I'm going in the summer too but just to get hitched and lose a few hundred in the slots. If I was single I'd hit up the Bunny Ranch.
See if your hotel has a cool arcade, or some good in-room movies.
Hang out at the pool.
Walk down the strip and take in the sights and sounds of it all.
Vegas has pretty much reverted to a town for the grownups. You missed the "kid friendly" Vegas by about 5 years.
yeaahh...hopfully there would be stuff to do besides archades.
The New York New York is across the street from the MGM. It actually has some pretty cool things to do if you're not old enough for the casinos. There's an arcade that's kind got a Coney Island theme, and there's a pretty good roller coaster there too.
The MGM also has a great pool area. Check that out. It's like four pools, and lazy rivers. And the gameworks was still there two years ago. Your family won't just bail on you, will they?
Does anyone know where I can find wedding chapel that has a sweet Elvis impersonator I can hire as a best man?
There will be 3 kids under 18, so i'll be fine. About 9 Adults will be going with us as well.
The Excalibur has the midway, and arcade games as well. At least, they did when I lived there. It's right across the strip from the MGM. MGM used to have a theme park as well. Not sure if they still do though. They also have the Wet-n-Wild water park over by Circus Circus if you can convince your parents to drop you off there for the day. The admission used to be about $23.00. But that was 15 years ago. I'm sure it has gone up.
If you're feeling brave, I'd do what I did during my younger days there. Grow a mustache, and buy some clothes that will help you to look older. Then go casino hopping down the strip with whatever money you have. Try to go to the really crowded resorts. The security will have a tougher time spotting minors there. Just sit down at a poker machine, or slot machine, and start gambling. I used to do it all the time. Whenever a security guard would come over and ask me for ID, I would just tell him I left it at home. The only thing they ever did was just ask me to leave. On to the next casino.
If you're not the brave type, just go to the midway at excalibur and play the midway games. Go check out the forum shops in Caesars Palace. I'm sure they still have the pirate show at Treasure Island, and the Volcano outside the Mirage. Those a both viewable from the sidewalk on the strip. So Is the Water fountain show at the Belagio. You can go ride the roller coaster at New York New York. I guess that's still free. Other than that, your best be is to just go sight-seeing whatever you can to keep yourself busy. You'll find something to do. It's impossible not to.
Theres a hotel called the Stratosphere
its a big tower with a couple amazing rides at the top
best to ride at night, cold but a nice view
a little pricy but worth it! -heres a pic

I was going to mention those, but it's pretty far away from the MGM. But I'm assuming that his parents plan on hanging around the MGM most of the time. If not, definitely a good place to go.
