Cowboys sign two receivers to contract extensions

IRVING, Texas (AP) -- The Dallas Cowboys signed receivers Terrance Copper and Patrick Crayton to one-year contract extensions Tuesday.

Copper and Crayton, both going into their third seasons, signed $385,000 tenders for 2006.

Crayton missed five games last season because of an ankle injury. He finished with 22 catches for 341 yards and two touchdowns, and returned 23 punts for a 7.2 average.

Copper played in all 16 games last season, mostly on special teams. He caught one pass for 5 yards.

Sweet! Both these guys have some potential to develop into solid #2 or #3's, especially Crayton

Yeah, I had Crayton as a break out WR last year. I was telling people before the season about him. Too bad he got hurt and was out for awhile

He should be solid again for the Cowboys
