Xbox. ESPN 2K5.
The animations in ESPN are simply amazing. Just wait until the first time you see Tony Parker or Bruce Bowen wrap somebody up...you clearly see both players fight for the ball until the jump-ball whistle goes.
The crowd is smart with crisper graphics. Go on a 10-2 run and they'll start cheering louder and standing up on great plays. Get down 25 in the 3rd and hear the crickets.
The game itself is $20, so you can't go wrong (and actually, it's on sale this week at Best Buy for $15).
In Franchise Mode, my first week (right after a big win over the Kings), Tony Parker came into my office and was really hyped about the upcoming season. EVerything you tell your players has an effect on the team.
With regards to Xbox, if you have a HDTV, there are a bunch of good games that work at 720p and a few at 1080i, so take advantage of those if you have them.
