I think Dwight Howard is the next Tim Duncan. Dwight's and Tims stats are almost similar from their rookie years to this seasons current stats. Could we see the Magic win the championship sometime soon?

There is a luva lot more to being the Next Tim Duncan than just matching his stats. , KG does that everyday, and has been in the league longer. But there really is no comparison outside of stats, now is there?

    Totally different playing styles.

Dwight Howard resembles Shaq if anything.

There is no "next Tim Duncan" just like there will be no "next Beno Udrih".

Dwight Howard is awesome so far. If he stays healthy (hope he does) he will be even better as the years go on. He is a bit more athletic than Tim and stronger.

If Tim was playing on a team like the Magic his rookie season his number would have been much higher. Howard on the other hand on a team like the Spurs in 97 would probably have lower numbers. Their stats are not really that similar in the first place. To early to compare, Howard is a great player but not in Timmy's class, yet at least. He didn't go to college though so maybe we should start comparing his accomplishments in a couple of years.

Howard is a dominant offensive force.

Duncan's offense is more footwork and angles.

Not taking away from either, but there games just aren't similar. That's the only thing you can compare, there style of play. Everything else (stats and what not) is arbitrary because of the team they're on, and teammates.

Duncan might be the best player of his generation.

No one will ever say that about Dwight Howard.
