A star athlete from a small Texas town is reportedly out of jail on bond, after allegedly stabbing his 17-year-old girlfriend.
Police say the girl was attacked Wednesday morning at Crystal City High School, southwest of San Antonio.
The victim's parents say she was stabbed several times. They also say the suspect threatened their daughter during a fight the day before.
"We plan on setting up a meeting with the school district, to found out what they had done about the altercation yesterday," said Becky Rivera, stepmother of the victim. "It was witnessed by teachers and students."
Right now, the 17-year-old girl is in stable condition at University Hospital.
The suspect is reportedly a football and track star at Crystal City High School.
