Our offense is total playground the last five minutes of this game, and we're just twiddling our thumbs defensively watching Carmelo light up Finley.

    Where's Bowen?

If you're not going to try to win, take out Duncan, Manu, and Tony and let them rest.

    What a ing joke.

Wake the up che. Manu touched the ball TWICE and came up with 5 points. The rest of the team sucked hind on offense, from Tony throwing blind turnovers to weak ass Tim Duncan jumpers.

Are you even watching the game?

How do we get something going by sitting Bowen on the bench and watching Carmelo score 10 straight on Finley?

    Wake the up.

spurs showed heart in the 3rd quarter for sure. the 4th is where the went back to their delightful mental collapse ways. i dont care if its a b2b or how thin the air is, the playoffs are right around the corner and this team is a long ways away from playoff form. the next 4 are on the road i believe and it aint gonna be pretty

This is probably like thread number 5 on this, but who cares.

It made me mad that Manu didn't get the ball more. Why? He had it going, but the players weren't playing very smart. Beno with a quick three, Parker driving in the paint where they had the paint packed in on purpose because of Tony and Tim Duncan trying to power people down with a bad foot, that isn't very smart. Manu had something going but his rythm was broken by some sloppy ass plays. Manu always plays great against the Nuggets, too bad he didn't go off and shutted everybody up. Another thing Bowen had 4 fouls and he sat half of the 4th quarter?? Finley was getting owned by Carmela.

I especially wanted the Spurs to win because the Nuggets players were acting like morons. Sometimes it's so amazing how stupid people can be. Ruben Patterson and Marcus Camby swipe at Timmy's arm and head and make contact, they then get called for the foul both of them give a look of disbelief on their faces towards the ref. I'm like shut the up and know your place that was a ing foul to the tenth power. There are many more examples of the same situation with different players in tonight's game.

    I second this .

Manu should've taken the game over and went for 40.

the officiating in both games on espn tonight was horrible. i liked the no call on elsen when he smacked duncan in the face right in front of the ref... spurs blew their wad in the 3rd, manu should have taken over,

b2b back pattern already was established. Tonights game is no surprise.

Pop is a cement head playing Tim GNob and Parker the most minutes of all while basically sitting Rash, Barry, Fabbs vs the headhunting and IMO often cheapshot Nuggets. When Parker got mauled by Patterson i thought perhaps it was a season ending injury. Also when Dunkan got hit in the eye again, also Nazr.

Yeah tonight really proved a lot, Pop.

There was a play where Bowen touches Buckner to get through a screen. He straight up falls down even the replay shows it he isn't pushed back or anything he just falls down like he was tripped. I started to laugh. OKAY BUDDY THAT WAS A FLOP.

I didn't get why Bowen was on the bench with only 4 fouls. Is he saving those 2 for a rainy day?

I think Pop wanted Finley out there for a run at against a potential team in the playoffs to get him some experience. That's why Bowen was out.

Given that Finley was not creating his own shot and spotting up late, Bowen could have done that as well and made some stops on MELO!

Right, because we all know that we would have our perimeter stopper sitting on the ing pine down the stretch of a playoff game with four fouls

Look, Pop had one of those moments tonight when he bends over and sticks his head up his ass to find his subs ution patterns and offensive play calls.

I never said this was a good thing. It was just odd why Bowen with 4 fouls sat out and pissed me off too, but it could have been one of the possbilities. I mean we did get Finley for this right? To light it up during the Playoffs and it looked to me that Pop was giving him a test run, but he got owned by Carmela.

Again, in the playoffs, unless we're down 20 we will never have Finley in instead of Bowen down the stretch.

We're up 2 and we let Carmelo smoke Finley. Like I said, it's not exactly earthshattering that Mikey can't guard Anthony, so why lose a game just to confirm that?

If Pop didn't give a about this game he should have sat Tony, Manu, and Tim the whole time.

It's really sad that after coming back from 18 down we just piss that all away because Pop gets stupid for six minutes.

Melo was pretty much unstoppable tonight. I would have liked to see more Bowen in the fourth but I'm not sure it would've mattered.

And I agreed with you in my previous post, but if we're on the offensive end of a playoff game down the stretch I'm thinking Finley would be more of a scoring option than Bowen and then have him sub Bowen in during the defensive end, but right now MY down the stretch playoff line up would be:
    Duncan
    Horry
    Bowen
    Manu
    Parker

I don't know why Finley was subbed in for Bowen so much, but I think I gave one of the reasons why he was there. Even if it cost us the game I think Pop even stated it that it's all about the Playoffs right now and 1 or 2 games are expendable.
