pretty fun. i never shot a handgun before. except that one time in a drive by.
we used a 9mm beretta, shto a total of 100 rounds over the course of two relays. i did my qualifying relay on the second one and qualified as a sharpshooter. which is pretty good for my first time. thats the middle of the three rankings the corps uses.
had alot of fun and i def liked it alot better than the rifle range, which takes all day and drags on.

Yea I'll tell you what. It's much more reliable than the stupid M16. I can't tell you how many malfunctions and jams I have seen over the years. For pistol I prefer Sig M11 (P228 9mm NATO) over the M9 Baretta anyday. It's a FAR FAR superior pistol. Even with a shorter barrel. I would like to see the military replace all the M9's with either M11's or Sig 226's or even the 229 DAK like homeland security uses now.

Grats getting sharpshooter on the pistol.

    Edit:

The comment on the M16.. I just want them to be replaced.

I had a chance to shoot a HK G36 and was like "you got to be ing kidding me"... it was so much better. Also I have NEVER seen an AK with a problem jamming.

    AK = best gun ever

that should be the official military rifle, the M16's and M4's.

Christ, I thought the Corps had wised up. The Baretta has a bad frame, and a 9mm is a chicke round.

Chode, if you are really in the Corps, see about getting a something a little bigger if you wind up in the two way sooting range.

    Chicken ?

lol come on man you watch too many Dawn of the Dead movies. It's a handgun not a rifle. Yes others have more penetration etc... just saying it's bad luck / juju to disrespect any caliber.

The morque is full of .22 .25's .32 .38 etc...

If they where allowed to carry popular commercial SD ammo in 9mm like Gold Dots etc in a jacketed hollow point it would be much more effective and still have a good 15 round capacity.

care to explain. why would we switch to a less accurate, less distance gun? i feel the m16 is pretty damn good, though it lacks in the punch dept. that is the only way the ak is better.

the corps wise up. youre funny. and why would i lie about being int he corps?
btw its not like i really get a choice in what weapon they give me. if it was up to me i would carry around a SAW at all times. but in my job if im using my weapon its bc we crashed. and i dont really plan on crashing.

hey vash, the corps is pretty stubborn at changing out weapons. theyve got their eye on some things that are supposed to be coming out but i think we;ll let the army test them out in real world and see how they do. i mean seriously man, our most lethal MG is from wwII, although the 50 cal is a bad sum .

dude i was like mel gibson in lethal weapon 2, not 1,3 or 4 though.

not sure why the military uses the 9 mil, but enough with the posts of gun a is better than gun b. i dont care and i dont think either you or me will change the usmc's mind

I have a ladies S&W 9mm but oddly it has more of a kick than my husband's S&W 9mm. It has a smaller grip but I don't like the kick. I haven't been out to the range in a long time. I need to go. If a burglar came to my house right now I'd probably aim for his heart and hit his fingers or toes.

That's why I have a shotgun for my wife. That's what a policeman told me once. If you're going to buy a gun for the house, buy a shotgun. That way if your wife needs to use it, it would be very hard for her to miss and its more intimdating than a handgun. Especially after they hear it pump.

    pump shotties kick ass.

the only down side to giving your wife a shotgun would be her flying back after pumping the robber.

Chode, I in no way meant to imply that you were lying about being in the Corps. Sorry if it came across that way.

remember that time in placedo when got like 12 oes, 10 magnums and 14 mickeys?

and country charles had just got his glock 19, and cbf was mad because I was forcing him to go to boystown and he put his footdown and admitted he was scared?

and then cbf went to talk to you and he was pissed and he wouldnt tell you what happened so you got the glock, i think the chamber was empty but you put it up to his neck and were like " WHATD HE SAY????!!!!(ice cube)
    and cbf fainted

    ROFL classic
the only funnier story is elpimpos animal cruelty story
