agreed. i think this year he should be unanimous pick for rookie of the year. how bout them demon deacons nowadays
I just watched him dismantle the Warriors:
17 pts, 16 ast, 11 rebs, 6 steals, clutch FTs.
In about two years, the only question will be who will be the other first-team All-NBA guard.

i dunno about that, depends on how fast noh can rebuild and become a contender, even though they are doin pretty well, but other teams in the west are still goin to continue to improve and so is the east. No one expected NOH todo that good this season compared to last season.
Yep. I was shocked that he wasn't the first point guarded drafted. Bogut will have a pretty good career but Paul will put him to shame.
That's not even mentioning Deron Williams.
Chris Paul is a beast.
I wish I could watch a game of his.......
Chris Paul is amazing, but League MVP some day? That's assuming a lot, especially the notion that he will make the Hornets a le contending team in the near future.
With players like Kobe, Tracy McGrady, Yao Ming, Amare Stoudemire, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, among others, playing at elite levels over the next 10 years at least, I don't know if Paul will end up being an MVP. You can still add players like KG, TD, Dirk to that list over the next 5 years.
A legitimate candidate for MVP? Sure, I can buy that. But, actually winning the award? Not so sure about that.
Jason Kidd got close, but he never won it. Isiah never won it. Jerry West never won it.
Steve Nash has lowered the standard.
True, but Nash winning it was directly linked to team success. You have to assume that Chris Paul will be able lead the Hornets to close to 50-60 wins to make the case. And, even if he does, will his season also outshine the likes of LeBron, Wade, Amare, etc to merit the award.
Anyway, I see Pul as a JKidd who can shoot, though not as good a defender or rebounder. Kidd almost won in 2002, and Paul will have the kind of offensive stats (like Nash) that will put him in better position to win it.
Yes, it will have to be in a year when the Hornets (or whoever) has a stellar season, and yes it will also have to be in a year when the voters feel that LeBron or Wade or whoever has already gotten their due previously. But I think the feeling is more that the MVP should be "shared" among several players than in the days of Magic, Bird, and MJ.
