I doubt I will try, but my boss' company spends the entire 5 weeks there in Vegas, so I am gonna see if they will let me tag along this year. Only like a 50/50 chance, though so I won't get my hopes up.
Out of curiousity, are any of the ST poker players planning on making an effort to qualify? I'm debating trying to do so. I think I'm better off throwing money into qualfiers for other tournaments, but I would like to go.

Isn't the buy in like 10 Grand? You never know you might get lucky like that one guy last year. Him and Joseph Hachem made the last two entrys and the guy I'm talking about was a total beginner, but Hachem won the tourney.
Yeah, the buyin is 10 grand. I'd never drop a 10 grand on a tournament like that, but if I can qualify through an online site I'd go in a heartbeat.

The step qualfiers on Party start at 10. And you can make that 10 last a really long time considering you have to finish last to fall completely out of the loop. They also have some qualifers for the smaller tourneys. I'd love to qualify for one of the smaller hold em events.

Well, I went ahead and bought in on the level one qualifier step. 1st moves on to the 2-4 get recycled. 5th gets something like 5 bucks out of the 10 back, and the rest are SOL.
I've finished 2nd twice, and I've finished 4th once so I'm on my fourth shot at the 1st level. s getting old.
