The going is tough for the Skins, and adjustments need to be made....
we sure could use a couple more Hogs, and a Riggs type back for the short yardage....
Gibbs needs to figure out how to get Portis the ball in open space, via screen, using him as a wideout, whatever....
it all takes time....
the team will get better as the season goes on, no doubt, but playoff hopes are dimming....if they are gonna put it together, it needs to be soon.

You can't put together a team like the old Gibbs Skins anymore. The salary cap keeps you from establishing that corps of veterans and talent that he needs. as far as personell, Bettis was there for the taking...our FO didn't make a move....he would have been perfect in short yardage...take a look at his TD's this year....
granted, you can't fix everything in one offseason, but we'll get a couple of beasts to play the line by next season, and all will be well.
Gibbs won it all with 3 different QB's and 3 different RB's...that's knowing how to make adjustments and win with what you got, but it doesn't happen overnight.... Walsh.

Zac, I too am a diehard Sox fan, but they had already clinched a playoff spot last week, so when the Astros won on Sunday at the same time that the Redskins were losing to the Browns, I was not as upset. Also, the Browns did not cheat to win the game like the Cowboys did, so if my team loses fair and square, I do not go beserk....huge difference there. I am a good sport when my teams lose fairly, but if you with my team by cheating, all breaks lose....if you get my drift.
no Zak...its because Jim was a jerk about it. When you hope for people to die in a plane crash...that is way too much. Not to mention that Jim is the king of the double standard. Their could have been absolutely no controversy in that game and you still would have not given Dallas credit, so you are lying right there and if the situation was reversed and Cowboy fans were carrying on like you were, you would be all over them and rightfully so. You're right Jimbo..its not a contest..its a question of common decency of which,at times, you appear to have none.
Despite all that....I for one have never questioned Jim's loyalty to any of his teams. He pimped the Red Sox all last season and this season and never gave up on the Astros. I want the Astros to win it all but if they can't....I would like to see the Red Sox do it. If for no other reason, then to see what excuse Yankee fans come up with.

If I just ed Jennifer Love Hewitt and I went outside to find one of my tires being flat on my ride, I would shrug it off and change the tire. If I just came out of the IRS office after being audited, and I find a flat tire, I would ing blow a gasket and kick the out of the first passerby I saw....now do you understand????
